You can't sign a 3rd or 4th option to this kind of deal. With this new CBA, it would behoove the stones to just sit on that money, for when it's time to extend cade, Ivey and Duran.
I'd pay him 100 mil for 4 years. Realistically we have only 1 guy worth the max for the time being. So we can do 1 guy who fits the team and can shoot. Plus, Cam Johnson is now entering his prime so he will be useful.

Johnson would be my 1st choice @ $100M/4yrs. 2nd option is Harrison Barnes, $75M/3 yrs. This gives Thompson time to grow & then be full time starter by yr 2.

Cam is entering his Prime at 27 Years Old. Free Agency over the next 3 years doesn't feature any top tier players that would even consider coming here either. He'll be on an expiring deal when its time to resign Ivey/Duren as well.

I think with Cams history with Monty it would be good to sign him, I think the money situation is important and anything over 4/115 would be a bit too rich for me but I’d get over it knowing how much it would mean to Monty Williams reuniting with one of his favorite players and a genuinely good professional! Whatever would give this roster more potential rotations and make Monty happy should be priority because Monty is the most important new piece we have added thus far! This team goes where Cade and Monty take them!
