Can’t wait to see it. I’m not high on him being able to do much at first. I think it’ll be a lot of learning (read: turnovers or basic stuff) that we see during this summer league. He might have 1 or 2 nice passes but he’s not gonna be droppin dimes or anything on the regular. His height will help him see over some of the defense, but he’ll definitely struggle in spots.
Great thing is, we’re rebuilding! So he has all the time in the world to learn! Just hoping fans cheer him on rather than hate on him.
Also I have to say I’ve seen that dunk at 1:40 from a few different angles, none that good, and JFC it’s a phenomenal dunk.
* Number 1, he didn’t have the ball and get a running start
* 2, he didn’t even take a power dribble
* 3. double pump reverse over the head off a 2-foot drop step from inside the lane is fucking nuts
I don’t know how many of yall have ever dunked, but that baseline dunk is one of the hardest to do. Getting it up and over the rim from there feels like it’s even higher than 10 feet. And it’s hard enough doing it one hand. Doing it TWO?! Fire. I know he had the benefit of not really going under the rim but it’s still a crazy dunk. I have clips of me dunking on 10 foot rims and I never could do that one. Even on a 9-foot rim I used to play on (full court, man was that fun), going up and under for a dunk was so damn hard. I think mayyybe I did it once just shooting around and got it in but it wasn’t even like a real dunk. It felt so awkward and like you had to almost go horizontal backward to make it.
My favorite one of these is Allen Iverson’s one when he was at Georgetown. Just ridiculous. [6’1 and just went baseline and flew.](https://youtu.be/SDYSYKmgGas?t=33) Starts at 33 seconds and there are 2 great replays. Bilal’s might be my second fav 2-hander now.
