The shot is very smooth, and he obviously he is going to be a matchup problem at the shooting guard position at 6’7, there’s a lot of potential there. He makes some bad decisions with the ball in the various scouting videos I’ve watched, but he plays with intention and attacks the basket and I like that.

Hard to get excited about this guy. We got a bunch of wings already, he just got a 2nd foot surgery (and he’s not even 20 yet) and the only praise he’s really getting is what he did in HS.

Don’t give af about HS. Hope for the best, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a lot of his run in the G-League. Whereas Clowney comes in and fits a need right off the bat.

  3. The fact that he had this kind of game while playing injured is honestly impressive as fuck.

Dariq was Rivals number one rated player out of High School. I’m not bothered about his year at Duke as he said during his introductory press conference he played on one leg during college.

He did improve his deep shooting in his year at Duke which shows us he should be a consistent quality 3 point shooter in the NBA.

Dariq has some definite playmaking skills and can be a creative passer.

He’s 6ft 7in and has a strong frame. He will be a good defender.

At the low end he is our future 3&D wing. However, If he gets back to full health we are looking at a possible All-Star talent on the team.

Dariq was the youngest player drafted this year in the first round.

Can’t wait for him to get 100% healthy and see his athleticism return. Hopefully he’ll get some big minutes after the trade deadline when we will probably move off Royce and DFS.
