    As a Hawks fan I’m glad we got rid of John. Sure he was good for a few seasons, but his play has been on a steady decline since 2021 and he takes up over 120 million in cap space. We can get someone way better than that with that type of money, I think moving him was a great option.

    What happened to Markkanen last year is about to happen to Collins. Maybe not resulting in an All star appearance but to the point that he becomes a future trade asset when his contract nears expiration in 2 seasons (I think). Core and future of the Jazz is still
    Lauri, Kessler, Agbaji, and probably Hendricks. Jazz three years out from title contention, you heard it here first.

    Jazz fan here. Good trade because we can't really lose. Either he shows out with us or we take his contract on for a bit while we're so under the cap that it hardly hurts us.

    Life long Hawks fan here. I love John but the team wasn't going anywhere as previously constructed.
    This is the type of deal we're going to see with the new CBA in place: teams below the luxury tax threshold will basically be able to poach talent from teams in the top apron tiers in exchange for salary relief so with that being said it probably isn't even as bad of a trade for us as it looks on the surface.

    This jazz rebuild has been incredible for me as a jazz fan.

    We got rid of 2 stars and in return got so much draft capital it was insane. Then we got walker kessler and markkenan. And we are killing it in the draft. Then adding john collins.

    This was the rebuild that didnt make our team suck too bad in the process. What a front office 👌👏

    As a hawks we should of been got rid of John Collins I m glad we finally let him go to save money. Wish we could of gotten for him but his value dropped.

    Lauri at the 3 (save the comments, thats what he primarily played last season, hes not only a 4) Collins at the 4 and Kessler at the 5…… Kelly is probably out after this trade, if Jazz can find a PG to facilitate, they could fight for a 6-8 seed.

    I kind of feel like we need Rudy gay because for purposes like a veteran coach the team as well as playing just like Udonis but I think it was a great trade for both because the Utah jazz will have a young lineup plus John Collins, but I think the trade was really good for both sites

    They faded cause they traded Conley, Beasley, Vando and sexton was hurt for like 20 of the second half games and sat clarkson for like 15

    As a hawks fan I’m glad we moved on from Collins because he never improved on his jumper or with his aggression with the ball hate we traded him for nothing but it will be interesting to see who we go for next

    Hawks ruined Collins worth. He went from Trae's pick n roll/pop player to a spot up 4 with Capela as the roll man. They should've traded him the minute they got Capela.
