Personally think we’re out of the running of the top 7 there…. Grant Will around MLE is an easy-ish number for the Celtics to match and then they can look to shed 5-6 mil elsewhere to get out of 2nd apron.
I’d definitely prefer a Bruce Brown wing addition over Jalen McD, DJJ, Craig, Watanabe, Bates-Diop, Reed assortment. We shouldn’t forget about Ingles and Crowder too, looking at this list.

I think a lot of people are confusing Jalen McDaniels with his brother, Jaden McDaniels. Jaden is an excellent young player with Minnesota who is still under contract. Jaden defended Luka better than anyone all year last year when we played Minnesota. I was really impressed with his defense, rebounding, and shot making in the games against the Mavs last year. I’d freaking love to have him.
Jalen McDaniels, his brother, is significantly less talented than Jaden. The games of him I saw in the playoffs after being traded to the 6ers from Charlotte were not very impressive. He committed stupid fouls and got played off the floor quickly in a few games I saw. I wouldn’t be against signing him for the right deal, but he is not a 12M/yr guy yet at all.
Edit: This isn’t directed at you OP. I’m just saying in general.
I would love Jalen McDaniels on a manageable deal. I think he has huge 3pt potential. Always bet on guys who can shoot free throws to develop behind the arc
