  1. I can't agree tbh. I am also a massive fan of Markelle Fultz but he won't be replaced by Black. You're saying we should have drafted a forward or big instead? I'm sure as you know we just drafted Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. Who are clearly our forwards of the future. We also have one of the most underrated centers in the league in Wendell Carter Jr who is locked in on a team friendly contract. I know Suggs and Cole are good but if anyone is to be replaced it's one of them, not one our forwards or bigs. It makes way more sense to add another guard. This team is just as heavy in bigs as they are guards especially if Jonathan Isaac can find a way to stay healthy.

  2. Iron sharpens Iron. They are drafting someone who is gonna challenge and keep the line up on its toes. And of course the magic unfortunately loves to develop players for the rest of the NBA

  3. I don’t know how you can hate on the Anthony Black pic so soon! We have no idea what management and coach Mo have up their sleeves. After last year’s sneaky #1 pick nothing will surprise me!

  4. Honestly boring hearing this reason of magic being stacked in the PG position or SG… in my opinion thats the only position magic doesn’t have figured out yet… they have SF figured out and as a matter of fact multiple players in that role, they have PF locked and Center position with wagner and wendell… magic haven’t found that combination with the PG and SG position and Defense on the 3 pt line was their weakness cuz they cant beat pick and roll switch with smaller guards like cole Anthony

  5. They picked the safest pick… both players they picked are prototype of a good or a great player… tall for their position and long, versatile and athletic… that is the prototype of the NBA from the 80’s and even until now

  6. Orlando had one of the worst starting backcourts in the league and you want them spending the 6th pick on Hendricks? Rethink that mental model.

  7. Guy on the right is too harsh in his words about the Magic. As a Magic fan and having seen a few dozen games in person last season, I respect what WeltHam are doing this draft. The truth is, asides from Fultz, the guards on this team are absolutely lacking. It seems they simply wanted to address the guard situation this season, which is totally respectable considering that all of guards are on expiring contracts or are up for extension. I absolutely enjoy Fultz at PG, but what's to say Black isn't capable of doing what Fultz is currently producing? Worst case scenario, Black keeps the playmaking rhythm going at backup PG instead of bringing in Cole who has a streetball, iso, inconsistent type playstyle. Not to mention you're upgrading in size with Anthony Black with Cole pretty much being an unsized guard in today's game. I enjoy the pick, it is overhated mainly from Magic fans but critics outside can understand the pick. FO has made it clear, the priorities are Banchero and Franz, everyone else either step up, compliment Banchero/Franz, or get ready to leave the team. I see the vision and respect the pick.

  8. Markelle will start and Black will learn and be a back up. Cole and Suggs are better off the ball. I think that when healthy Jett offers more creation and potential than Dick. Dick did not interview well and was deemed a me first kind of player. I am excited about the internal competition this adds to the team and we will be better next year than last years 5 and 20 start. 😊

  9. I know it would mess up the spacing but in a situation where paolo becomes a shooting threat or if fultz becomes average, would a fultz-black backcourt work? after watching film I noticed black specializes in pushing the pace with energy and passing to bigs in the paint, but does have turnover problems despite good pace control. he plays great off ball and is very active, couldnt he fit these guys very well? especially since two years ago they were a top defensive team. w his defense, energy and the magics team personnel it could be a possible perfect fit.

  10. Jett Howard shot 37% from 3 on 7 attempts he’s literally one of the best shooters in the entire draft class lol. The question with Jett is his defense and Jeff Weltman stated that Jett played most of the season on 2 injured ankles which can hurt his lateral quickness on defense. Before injuries a lot of mocks had him in the lottery and even top 10

  11. I dont understand why they take as a surprise that Orlando picked guards. They have set starters in all front court positions. So why to pick up a forward or center? Your logic makes no sense

  12. Markelle if he cant stay healthy, it makes sense to draft AB. Suggs hasnt shown much, and Cole has been great as a 6th man

  13. The magic wanted Black cuz they believe he will be their franchise PG next to Paolo and Franz long term. They clearly aren’t sold on Fultz Suggs long term

  14. Wowww!! That guys energy is so low. Sit up and take your hands out of your sweater! And quit hatin! Sheesh!!Magic are stacked!

    – Starters
    Fultz, Suggs, Franz, Banchero, Carter.
    – Second unit.
Cole, Black, Jett/Harris, JI, Mortiz Wagner.

  15. I was hoping for Anthony Black. Fults and Suggs are great but are injury prone. Magic are doing a great thing with positional size. We have to also take their contracts in consideration. We never know if theyll want to enter free agency or demand trades. Magic are in a great position as well when it comes to trades if needed.

  16. Cant call the franchise dumb when we hit back to back drafts. You'll just have to wait and see what the guys do. Nobody other than our FO saw franz's potential and picked him early 2 years ago
