  1. Great draft converge kings did good we have a lot in are g league time for everyone to step it up

  2. Not getting Kris hurts. With the available cap space I don't necessarily see the Kings going all in with a big free agent signing, but they'll be able to resign Harrison Barnes, Trey Lyles then extend both Sabonis and Monk without going into salary cap hell. Doesn't sound sexy but the team is already built completely with the exception of a backup center… which could be gotten with the mid level exception.

  3. Not mad about the way today turned out at all. But do you guys feel any kind of way about us not drafting this year and essentially next year as well? Cheers love you guys 🥂

  4. I don't understand, how does trading the #24 pick away open up cap room? A signing at #24 wouldn't have cost the Kings that much. What am I missing here?

  5. HOT TAKE!! Blazers drafted Murray's twin as a trade chip to get someone from Sactown.

  6. On the surface, it looks like the kings didn’t seal any holes so didn’t really get better as a team that way but we will have to see who they acquire with that cap space. Atm it looks like they’re sticking with this team so if the team doesn’t advance or get better together next season. It’s another historical crapshoot in kings draft record history 😂

  7. Richan Holmes is someone I really wish it worked out with, especially how thin the big man stable is in Sac. He's gonna thrive, big fan of his character and game. It was the right move though hate to see him in another jersey

  8. So excited by these moves. I honestly think the kings are one player away and that player could be on the roster already, or could be a free agency signing. Kings have so many options to get there, it’s gonna be a fun week. Monte out here playing chess

  9. I think the last time the Kings traded a first round pick for the other team to take on a player(s) was in 2015–Stauskas, Landry, and JT.

  10. Why dont i hear talk of us going for brook lopez? Would he not be a good fit

  11. I'm a freelance sportswriter who covers Furman for a blog I have. Enjoyed your breakdown of the Kings' draft. I posted a link to a tweet I sent during a game last season of a eight-second video replay that's a perfect summation of Jalen Slawson's game here, but I guess it got automatically deleted for containing a link. The clip was of him blocking a shot on one end and dunking a lob on the other. The most intriguing part of the play for me is the fact that he signals for the lob as he's crossing midcourt. He's an incredibly smart player who's able to see things well before they develop.

  12. I just wonder if the Kings could have traded down with Denver/Indy to get #29 + #32 and then sent Holmes + #29 to Dallas. Then they could have drafted Colby Jones at #32 and not have to send Boston a future second as well.

  13. Brilliant move at #24, plus they got a rising Rd 1 prospect in Colby Jones at #34, and Box-in-One's big sleeper in Jalen Slawson at #54. Awesome draft.

  14. Thanks for the reporting on Jalen! We are so proud of him! We have watched him play for years at Furman and the Kings are getting an outstanding player and teammate! And we love our purple!💜 Furman fans are now Kings fans and we can't wait to see him play! 💜🏀

  15. This is the same mistake Vlade Divac did a few years back by trading picks for cap space in hope they can get an elite free agent. Divac found out guys didnt want to come to Sacramento and he ended up over paying for some old mediocre players. R. Holmes was also on a very friendly team contract even though he was relegated to the bench. I hope Sacramento already have a player in mind that wants to come here and a contract already in place to sign. If not, it would be another dumb Kings move. It is rare a team win championships by building through free agency.

  16. Kuzma, Grant or Cam Johnson and sign Sasha and I’m a happy man

  17. Why does no one mention Holmes and Fox’s chemistry before Ty was even drafted, we all act like he only played good because Ty was there. Holmes went from a 3rd string center to our starter, and it was Fox Buddy and Cojo dishing out the lobs and pocket passes maybe few others. Hard to blame his poor play on Ty being traded away

  18. Mavs fan doing some Holmes research. Just wanted to say you guys have a nice show… keep up the good work!!

  19. Slawson is a DAWG!!! Strong AF and has very high basketball IQ. He’ll thrive within the Mike Brown system. Colby can start right away. He’s also a high IQ player and has the defensive chops of Davion Mitchell. Monte drafted the right kind of players.
