I assume that the convergence point of these new salary and luxury tax rules is that franchise type players 1) won't be able to congregate in big cities (eg, NYC, LA, etc.), 2) on one team 3) and if these franchise players want to be paid large amounts, they're going to have to go to teams that are unpopular with free agents (eg, DC, Orlando, etc.). The result could be a lot more parity — eventually — in the NBA.

The Celtics are not winning a championship in the near future. Jaylen Brown is one of the most overrated players in the NBA, and they have a GM that has no idea what he is doing in the league. With their inability to understand tape, they have this over-reliance on analytics.
