Miami has considered waiving Kyle Lowry if they’re unable to find a trade partner

Bring him home

This would be perfect. Would only work if he’s content with his one ring and not trying to sign a minimum with another contender

He still has a lot to offer as a back up. He was very solid as a back up for Miami in their finals run.

I think he signs with a contender to ring chase though. Philly, Milwuakee and Lakers would all make sense for him on a vet minimum.

Bro was the only one in the finals doing something

He’ll probably sign with a contender if waived, but he is the perfect backup for this team.

Sign and trade FVV? Kyles not going to be a starter but he’d be a great vet for the young guys to learn from. Could always buy him out to let him go to a contender at the trade deadline.

Read that as Masai at first and was confused lol

For the minimum I’d do this in a heartbeat. Bring the GROAT home.

I went and checked the article, and the writer (who, from what I understand, is one of the more reputable Heat insiders), was proposing trade scenarios at the deadline if they keep Lowry. Toronto was mentioned:

    > Toronto: There remains mutual affection and respect between Lowry and the Raptors. If the Heat cannot get Lillard, it would be worth exploring the possibility of flipping Lowry and other assets (a first-round pick or Nikola Jovic) for 6-5 swingman Gary Trent Jr. (17.4 point per game last season) and power forward Chis Boucher.

    > The salaries line up almost perfectly; Trent will make $18.6 million in an expiring deal and Boucher $11.7 million. The Raptors’ incentive? If Toronto determines it cannot or does not want to extend Trent and if it wants to get out of Boucher’s $10.6 million in 2024-25.

    > Boucher averaged 9.4 points and 5.5 rebounds last season. He shoots threes but not at a great percentage; he’s 270 for 908 (33.4 percent) in his career. Former Heat player Precious Achiuwa also could be an option in this scenario.

I love Kyle but that’s gonna be a no from me dawg lol

Kyle would be such a great stabilizer for any young second unit. Kind of puzzled why Miami wants to move him.

He just cost too much for them for the amount he can play with their aspirations

Kyle is the type of player any contender needs in the playoffs. Just gotta keep him limited and healthy through the regular season.
