Then later in the afternoon, TNT’s Chris Haynes reported that Lillard and his agent Aaron Goodwin are meeting with the Blazers on Monday to discuss the franchise’s direction. The Heat gents seem a little disconnected. Nurk won’t be made into some kind of defensive stud, and offensively he doesn’t need development…he is what he is. Great ball screener, good passer, and a big body on defense that won’t stop anyone but grabs a ton of boards.
Yes, Portland may want to ship him just to get rid of him, but they have to get a center somewhere. That’s job #1, and this doesn’t get them there.

We need to stop talking about Miami 1st-round picks like they are just like any other 1st-round picks, because they're not. Miami 1st-round picks are virtually guaranteed to be mid to late 1st-round picks since Miami almost never has bad seasons. The idea that we could trade Dame and not get a single lottery pick in return is stomach churning.
Brooklyn 1st-round picks are soooooo much better than Miami 1st-round picks.
They completely misinterpreted Chris Haynes quotes which is understandable because Chris said it during a podcast which means that it is easy to read wrong without the whole quote. Chris's comment was about Dame not expecting the team that he plays for to have 2 or 3 other all-stars. He just wants to be in the playoffs competing. It was a quote that more supported him staying in PDX if they made a few moves or going to Brooklyn if they make a couple other moves. It actually was a quote that could be taking as more of an anti-miami trade although I think he would prefer the more blue collar all-stars in Miami to teaming up in LA or Boston.
Interesting conversation, and it's fascinating to hear stuff like, "Herro is a future multi-time all-star" and "Nurk is one of the worst contracts in the league".
Nurk is better than Naz Reid, and Reid is only getting paid a bit less than Nurk.
