I’m Not Mad At Atlanta For Trading John Collins… |Hittin Hard With Jon Chuckery| 6/27/23 FULL

The Atlanta Hawks traded John Collins to the Utah Jazz for Rudy Gay and a second round pick. Collins had been in trade rumors for at least the past three years. Jon Chuckery talked about how this was nothing more than a salary dump.

Landry Fields has expressed that the Atlanta Hawks are more than willing to go into the luxury tax. Tony Ressler, in the past, that he is more than willing to pay the tax if it makes sense. Jon Chuckery talked about how he isn’t buying that the Hawks will go BACK into the luxury tax because they made this move to get out of it.

The Atlanta Falcons gave out a few promotions yesterday. Ryan Pace and Keith Smith both were promoted to higher level positions. Chuckery talked about how he doesn’t like how things are going in the front office.

  1. The Bible says, "A threefold cord cannot easily be broken." The Falcons have that with AS, TF, and AB. Fontenot's work ethic and solid model bring the respect of even those above him, so his influence will be enough to keep the ship pointed in the right direction and properly focused on the optimal agenda. As good of a job as Fontenot has done keeping the fanbase aware of the Falcons' priorities, I am sure these guys will be far more aware of the same. Everyone knows TF has AB's unwavering support. For me, I would say that these guys should have no problem sliding in and handling these new duties. Sure hope the Hawks can put something together to kind of get the mojo back! Thanks for the great content.

  2. I still hate this front court. Deandre is fine but you can do better, basically a lame duck starter and Capela is an anchor but you have a guy sitting behind you picked in the top 6 ready to start and Clint is one year closer to being Ed Davis.

  3. That's no sense, Sam Acho. How do you take 4 years to transition to the same defense?
