Yea a 39 year old Chris Paul who’s been injured last 2 years playoffs is totally going to fix our fundamentally broken defence and make us magically better than the nuggets! Couldn’t have anything to do with klay and draymond not being as good as they used to

Well good to see both Steph and Klay approve of the move (obviously FO would never make the move without their buy in, especially Steph’s). Seems like the guys are energized and knew what they were missing last year (a reliable bench unit and better decision making from their guard off the bench).
At this point, you have to wonder if JP was involved in the punch leak. Like I know he was not playing his best ball and was a bit whinier about minutes at the end last season, but the way the org turned on him slowly really has me thinking he was involved and they found out. Obv he had the most to gain from that leak, but his pouting towards the end might put more of it in context.
CP is such a good pickup that the vets seem to be on board despite the long history. If you’re excited to bring on a dude that’s hit you in the nuts more than once, knowing you’ve let go of a more volatile asset long term that brought the energy down, that’s saying a lot. I’m hoping Dray can work out a good deal and maybe we get a chip in the next season or 2.
Man Steph is Class personified. Shows love and empathy for JP, praises him for what he contributed while wishing him luck.
