Name 1 player the Mavs HAVE to trade for.
If we were to trade Kyrie, it must be to a high volume scorer like Dame Lillard and not Ayton since we already have a prized Center pick in Derek Lively.

Nick nailed it, there's no guarantee that Lively makes it in the NBA. We all obviously want to hope he excels, but he will need time to develop. If you can trade Holmes & THJ for Ayton, you 100% take it. The team immediately becomes significantly better. However, if they can play hardball and somehow add McGee in there as well… we all want that. Having that MLE would be huge to add another piece
You shouldnāt have to talk yourself into Ayton. It would be a huge improvement over what youāve had and is as close to perfect as youāre likely to get in the front court for Luka/Kyrie. Whatever you think of Ayton, he is that. If Iām wrong, tell me the dude you have any reasonable chance at.
