Both would great options. One is a gods defender with a decent 3 point shot while Cameron is not as good defensively but a better shooter. I would say Cam just because he is younger

Lindsey, awesome career, not sure if you really get it as an analyst….4 for $100 is not "throwing the bank" at someone in today's NBA buddy. That's #50 on most expensive contracts in the NBA. Let me just rattle some lesser players that make $20mil per season: Myles Turner, Eric Gordon, Clint Capela, DeAndre Hunter. Hell you got completely 1 dimensional "shooters" Duncan Robinson and Joe Harris making 18 and 19 mil respectively..
Salary cap goes up, player contract prices goes up. Simple math Lindsey. New CBA teams HAVE to spend 90% of salary cap by start of season, so no point to hoard cap space, use it or lose it buddy.

This will be Detroits "ONLY" offseason where they can sign a free agent.
No matter who Detroit signs this offseason it wont have any bearing on Detroits ability to sign Cade, Ivey, Duren or Ausar, long term to max contracts, if they all 4 play to their ceilings.
The new CBA will have no impact on this. The new CBA will encourage this it just wont allow you to sign other teams players once you do this. Or do Bradley Beal trades. Nothing Detroit needs to worry about.
I would pay Cam Johnson 25 million for 4 Years. He is an assassin from 3 Point Line. Cam is Young at 27, give him the 100 Million. It's exactly what the Pistons need. A Veteran in his Prime. He is the Missing Piece.

At least Barnes plays defense and has versatility on that end of the floor. He won't be as expensive as Cam, either.

Bogdonovic is a good scorer. My understanding is they wanted to add a good, versatile defender on the wing, that is what drafting Thompson was for. There are no extra minutes to sign someone to a big contract without trading Bojan.
If they trade Bojan, they loose a good outside shooter.

Hunter doesnāt know what he talking about so what he a 3rd option we got Cade and Jaden we need a number 3 guy . Cade went number 1 overall this his year to step up and lead pistons to the playoffs

Cam soft, Harrison soft. We want Rui. He can play both forward spots that way we can ease Ausar into the starting spot by the Trade deadline. Instead of Overpaying Cam who barely healthy and unproven. People overrated Cam like they do OG Anunoby
No Barnes or Cam. If you canāt get Jerami back then keep the money and hold it till next summer. Explore trades. The free agent market this year does not suit what we need. No way you should pay a guy like Cam 25 mil when he canāt even be a number 2 option on a team. Heās a number 3 at best.
Cam Johnson is the guy. Biggest asset other than his 3pt shooting is his familiarity with the offense that Monty likes to run. $100M/4yrs
