  1. Again. For the people saying that the fit isn’t great. Lauri played the 3 for the jazz all year. He’s a small forward for the jazz. They played either Vanderbilt or olynyk at the 4 the entire year. Collins fits in perfectly

  2. Show me team that agrees to pay Van Vleet over 20 mil per for multiple years, and I'll show you a team that's headed nowhere.

  3. Hawks should have Traded John Collins a long time ago. That's not a good return IMO.

  4. Freddy is a solid pg but plays slow and often misses the open man. Will always remember the role he played in guarding the splash brothers and hitting big time shots!

  5. Between this, the firing of Nate and the continued patronage of Trae Young my 30 year support of the Hawks may be coming to an end. I’ve been through a lot of garbage seasons with this team but I don’t think I have it in me to get behind a shitty self-promoter/chucker like Trae Young any more. Collins was the last truly likable player they had

  6. TY – 32, 36, 34, 38, 33, .351

    JC – 34, 35, 40, 40, 36, .356

Funny how perception can change how a player is seen. Not a shot at skeetsy cause a lot of people would say the same thing about JC's stretchability. Above is the 3 point percentage for Trae Young, and John Collins for their first five years in the league (Collins is one year older and his outlier number was his sixth year where his role drastically changed). The career percentage is the last number and it includes John's 29% year he just had.

Im actually not saying it was a bad move. Someone had to go and make room for other guys who do things the hawks need on the interior more than rim running, rebounding, and shooting.

But, I am saying the hawks will likely trade Murray for something this summer when I think they should try to trade Trae young for a whole lot more and build around Murray as the point. Because, his perception is as a great shooter when really he's a microwave shooter with great floor vision but a huge liability defensively.

And, I think the league is going to start tampering down on the free throw attempts and let guys play a little more defense in the coming years which is a huge part of trae's worth.

  7. How come you guys didn't talk about his effed up finger? That's the actual correlation to his shooting. I'm not closely familiar but I wonder if that's something he can reverse, if there was still some kind of discomfort or if he became a damage goods forever.

  8. I stopped listening a couple minutes in after he said that Collins was a good shooter for only 1 year of his career. These people need to do their research before they speak on these topics. I have no interest in listening to your uninformed opinions.

  9. Does league pass still have blackout games? Like local teams games and national TV games? That was the biggest reason for me not even considering it

  10. Collins is born in utah he will be one of our favorite players from opening night. cant wait to see what hardy can do with his new tools.💪

  11. Hawks shot themselves in the foot when Travis Schlenk gave him that contract. He’s a fringe starter who’s overpaid for his role. This is addition by subtraction in the sense they’ve free’d up the money to resign Dejounte Murray and give extensions to Okongwu and Bey. Not to mention they get more spacing and defense with AJ Griffin and Jalen Johnson who in my opinion have much higher ceilings.

  12. A straight dump for ATL but I don’t hate it. Give Onyeka Okongwu a chance and see what he does with it.

  13. Could this be a move to try and free up some cap to make a serious move for Pascal for the Hawks? I’ve seen rumors Hawks still want to trade for him and they might possibly want to move off of Dejounte

  14. I'm surprised the league won't veto this trade. It's so uneven! The CP3 trade to the lakers was vetoed, but why not this one?

  15. That's one of the coolest t-shirts i've ever seen Tas!! Where can I buy it?
