The placement is fair, considering there are a lot of unknowns. I for one am hoping for a playoff (not play-in) spot. But yeah, being fun and competitive are the most realistic expectations at the moment.
There is NO WAY the Spurs will be better than HOUSTON. Houston has the full package and about to pick up 2 or 3 veterans off free agency. They are loaded from top down. Probably better for the Spurs to hit the lottery again next year and let VW play limited minutes. 26 is about right to get the 5th pick in the draft next year, although it will be the weakest draft in a long time. Now you see why they let that number 33 pick walk. I think they are thinking the same thing. Just good enough next season but back in the lottery.
….i have no problem with the rankings it changes every week…let's see how they do going into preseason…I think the spurs will be the 5-4th seed going into the playoffs…if the team stays healthy…the team is going to motivated pop is going to be motivated victor wembanyama wants to win…I just wonder if tre Jones starts at PG who's going to be out 6th man vassell or keldon… victor wembanyama is not playing center Collins is wemby of Sochan sf tre PG vassell sg…keldon 6th that's what I think might happen…or keldon starts tre goes to the bench Sochan plays PG… can't wait to find the starting lineup…

Messed up power rankings if you ask me. Grizzlies in the mid teens? On Atlanta, if they are blowing up the team, I think we trade one of their picks back for Dejounte? Social media attitude aside, Dejounte was and still is a good fit for us. With his value dropping last year, a reasonable contract extension could be made. Especially with the new 2nd apron making teams more cautious in signing big deals.
We are done with the tanking. We are playing to win now. If we don't make the playoffs it would be a huge disappointment. We have a ton of cap space to sign free agents. Or make trades.
I get a sense that if the Spurs really went all out to win this season they could be top 15. But I think it makes more sense to take a slow, steady approach and experiment abit more with the team. So I think they will be closer to the bottom, say 25th.
We are ranked 20th probably…( this is before watching the video)…..because i know how they love to hate on my Spurs even though they rigged the draft for my Spurs to get Wemby lol🤣

The Spurs will be better than you think . They were in the PLAY IN game twice in 2021 and 2022, and tanked this year to get The Eiffel Tower. If the Spurs can get a Damian Lillard and or a Davis Bertan , they will be a playoff team. Remember this team started off hot at 5-2 and then the memo went out to tank. They have the green light this year
Ppl didn’t pay attention last yr but maybe it’s just me bias but I liked how these young guys played and can’t wait to see how they do with wemby in the lineup

What we REALLY need is this:
(1) Charlotte to make the playoffs next year UNLIKELY
(2) Toronto to miss playoffs but fall outside the Top 6
…then we will have 3x first rounders next draft!!!
This is why we did not draft at #33. We basically got a player "for free" since #33 was replaced with two future 2nd Rd picks!
