  1. I get not being the outright favorite in the east but I’m not sure how koc likes Boston over Miami when Miami over the last four years has been better and would be getting a better player while the Celtics in theory get better offensively but lose a big piece of their defensive identity and culture. Ultimately this just is a microcosm or two very prevalent narratives with nba media: the infatuation with the Celtics and the disrespect of the heat

  2. Dame and Scoot definitely can play together. You guys just arent familiar with his game

  3. I’m so sick of non-Blazers fans acting like it’s just so obvious to trade Dame away. He’s been the cornerstone for our team for a decade. He’s likely to be one the best Blazers to every play for the team. And most importantly, trading him away for picks does not guarantee they will get better.

  4. It’s pretty simple what’s going on in Portland: they don’t want to rush anything. If they are gonna trade Dame, they are gonna do it for MAXIMUM value.

  5. Should have started his own companies like Bron and maxed his outside earning potential. Then he could politic and tamper like Bron and build out the roster. Too late now.

  6. What of miami offer lowry herro robinson jovic the rookie for this year plus 1st round picks for Dame and jerami Grant(I don't even know if it is possible) they are favorites in the east with a roster of dame, oladipo, jimmy, grant, adebayo and bench

  7. Sorry for all Koc fans but the man has lost his marbles if he belives boston is better then miami with or with out Dame 💯😂

  8. It all depends on what the blazers want to accomplish in the next few years. If they want to sell tickets and maybe make a playoff appearance, keep Dame and give him a roster. If they want to win a championship any time soon, Dame needs to go

  9. Portland needs to move Dame and Simons. Winding up with the 3rd pick and Scoot falling to them is imcredibly lucky. For starters there is no path to them being a title contender with Lillard period. Even if they built a package around Scoot theres nothing they can get back that makes them a title contender. The Blazers and Dame have both conducted themselves in good faith in a way thats very admirable but they fell short of being a title contender. They should move Dame and Simons for a package based around draft capital or a promising younger player. They have a chance to reset their franchise, build around Scoot and have their own picks be of high value for the next couple years as well. If they take the middle course of trying to bolster the team around Lillard they risk turning Scoot into the next Dame in terms of having a star player without enough around him to compete for a title. Portland has one title from alnost 50 years ago. Its time to build a team to compete for another ring and you do that by moving Lillard and Simons.

  10. Dame getting traded to a contender mid season and immediately winning like Clyde would be tragically hilarious.

  11. Sign Draymond and play Scoot in the backcourt with Dame? They're just setting Scoot for failure at that point as he will never have the ball in his hand.

  12. Question: has there ever been a best player on a championship team who is a career significantly negative box plus/minus?

  13. i'm frustrated because the media has drummed up the fakest story of all time about how Damian Lillard needs to leave Portland because there's no way he can win a championship in Portland. i'm sorry! i call BS! i just saw Milwaukee and Denver win titles with the right chemistry, i'm gonna need them all to shut up! just shut up! like Portland deserves the right to compete, they deserve the right to attempt to keep dame and put a winner on the floor consistently, ur lying saying they can't win a title in Portland. do they have the piece to do it right now? no. but it infuriates me everyone suddenly pretending finding that piece (or 2) is impossible. it's not, tons of teams have done it recently and honestly if Portland gets in the dance. i'll take my odds with dame and see where it lands. too many teams are skiddish on that cap apron by the way. an asset is gonna slip portlands way. just let everything play out, geez.

  14. Dude Draymond is a glorified garbage man, he's not making a difference on any team unless it already has 3 superstars with unlimited range.

  15. With his salary any team he goes to is going to have to gut their roster just to match salaries.

  16. Add Mason Plumlee in free agency, swap Ant Simons + Nas + 5 second round picks we got from GSW in GP2 trade for OG Anunoby, pry Vanderbilt from Lakers, THEN resign Jerami Grant. These moves make Portland a legitimate contender in the west. Its evident you don't need multiple MVP candidates on one roster to win, only one and a strong roster of role players. The Nuggets just proved this.

Scoot + Shaedon + Mason Plumlee + Vanderbilt come off the bench, start Dame, Matisse, OG, Jerami, Nurk and fill in other minutes with other players.

  17. If the Heat can get Dame only Boston would be better. There's no way that the Bucks don't lose either Middleton or Lopez. The Sixers either keep or lose Harden. Either way, they're not a championship threat.

  18. It's basketball malpractice that they didn't trade Dame a couple years ago… Utah is gonna end up getting more for golbert than they will get for Dame

  19. portland cursed. bill walton , greg oden , broy, la midrange, the jailblazer era. cursed. its like the timberwolves
