Wouldn’t a S&T hard cap is even if we are the team sending the guy?

Can we do a 3-team S&T and re-route Gabe Vincent elsewhere? Nothing against the guy, a nice rotation player, but quite far from a need?

  2. trapHerm

Idk how much the would wanna pay would if this is S&T speculation

hmm .. if the Heat sign Wood, will this mean Wood was always a Butler or that the Heat don’t sign people based on their culture but rather if they have failed enough so that they can rebuild them to instill their culture ..?

  4. rcoffers

Pretty sure Jake “Mike” Fischer has never gotten anything right on the Mavs lol.

  5. If we managed to sign and trade Wood and get some value back, that would be huge for us. I thought he was just gonna walk for nothing.

Hell, even a TPE would be great if it allowed us to sign and trade Grant, assuming he wants more than the MLE.

  6. qotsabama

More than happy to help the heat get Wood as long as we don’t take back something we clearly don’t want. Wish him nothing but the best, but just get this man off our team.

  7. PraiseDirk

He’s been one of my favorites to watch in the playoffs. This would be a nice sign and trade.

I don’t think we need Vincent, rather go after DSJ as a third ball handler cuz he’ll be cheaper and much better defender

  9. HolyAty

GMs should figure out if you don’t have a Spoelstra on the sideline, don’t go after Spoelstra’s gems. You’re not gonna make them work for you.

yeah a TPE would be nice .. but not sure if Wood will get a large enough contract and also this would require a team with cap space signing him but the Heat don’t have any.

  11. RyceMenace

If we end up trading for Ayton, Vincent would be a good replacement for THJ.

  12. hooka_donchick

Would love him off the bench with Hardy.

  13. Tuffwith2Fs

In a vacuum this would be really great. I have no idea how/whether this messes with our ability to pursue better targets with the MLE or how this otherwise affects our cap situation. If it couldn’t be done in a “cap-neutral” sort of way, then I’d pass.

  14. e_j3210

I don’t get it. What’s the point of the Mavs treating Hardy as untouchable if they’re perfectly willing (in fact TRYING) to bury him on the end of the bench behind a guy like Vincent? Clearly the Mavs *don’t* believe in Hardy and should just trade him. I *do* believe in Hardy and wouldn’t trade him unless it’s for a haul. I also wouldn’t bring in a vet to take his minutes.

S&T Wood to the Heat is not gonna happen. We can’t receive additional salary in our current situation .

  16. grusilag9

Wood seems like the opposite of Heat culture

  17. amino110

    I read the article. It’s not a Wood-Vincent S&T lol.

Vincent would interest the Mavs if Kyrie dips but the heat is willing to re-sign him anyway by cutting Kyle Lowry.

  18. Just why? Not that he’s not gonna be a good addition, but there are much bigger holes in the roster.

  19. dirkslance

When I think of Heat culture I think Christian Wood

  20. Seeker1115

Didn’t Gabe Vincent say “I wouldn’t want to play with Luka” or something like that last season?

  21. AlCzervick

So, we’re gonna trade Wood back to Houston?

  22. HispanicAtTehDisco

chrisitan wood and heat culture is the worst fucking pairing i’ve ever heard lmaooo

pat riley would throw the fucking arena chairs at wood for the lack of hustle bro has

  23. -Acerin

I am not interested in a undersized player who shoots inefficiently lol.

His playoff is gonna get him paid hopefully not with us.
