Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson on Kyle Lowry:
“According to two sources, the Heat has been giving thought to potentially using the waive-and-stretch provision on Lowry if Miami is unable to trade him, though a firm decision on that has not been made. That waive-and-stretch mechanism would allocate his remaining cap hit equally over three seasons.”

  5. Would think $29.7M expiring contract has value in bringing back a player(s) on longer team deals. Even if just 1 year longer. Or even two smaller contracts that = Lowry $$ but better fill out roster/add depth.

To not use Lowrys expiring as a vehicle to directly improve feels wrong.

To Waive & stretch KL would position itself as short term money savings & purely driven by finances.

  6. Kicking the can down the road doesn't seem wise. Getting it over with now seems much better with the coming cap consequences.

If anything, he'll be used in a deal and then bought out by his new team.

  7. Just wave Lowry already. We don't need him another 3 years,he has sucked the past 2 seasons, that they already had him, just dump him,and resign Vincent.

  8. Miami would've fared better against the Nuggets if they played Kevin Love more minutes, actually played Jovic and Orlando Robinson — having these bigs at the paint would've given Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and Duncan Robinson more open shots or be able to pass to these bigs for a layup. Miami would've reduced the Nuggets' offensive rebounds, they would've been able to give a harder time to Jokic and Nuggets' other bigs. Alas, like a crazy person, Miami just kept on doing the same strategies that weren't working.

  9. Get rid of the undrafted players every time they sign a new contract they turn into garbage the next season do your research you will see what I'm talkin about all the undrafted players that signed new contracts flopped the following season

  10. A 13 min video abt 3 players lemme save y’all the watch
Kyle will get released if he doesn’t get traded
Max most likely not coming back cuz he bag chasing and Duncan on the team
    Gabe coming back

  11. only news Miami Heat fans want is Damian Lillard going to the HEAT! that is it!

  12. They have to trade to a salary dump team… add second round pic, maybe look at Toronto reunion… can’t have his 9 mil for three years with the new CBA starting after next yr
