[Cranjis] Here’s how I’d see LA maximizing spending power this offseason. What’s looking like weak markets for DLo & Rui have opened my eyes to possibilities I didn’t think could be realistic prior to mapping it all out.

Well we are extremely unlikely to land him lol. He could either take the full MLE from anyone else who is offering it OR stay in DEN with a wink-wink future deal agreed to under the table. Jamal Murray has already hinted that Bruce Brown has agreed to something with DEN.
Other than Bruce Brown, I really don’t see it worth us hardcapping ourselves for anyone else at the full MLE. Basically, we better not get tricked into letting Bamba and Beasley go for nothing just to end up realizing there wasn’t anyone truly worth hardcapping ourselves anyways. Their expiring contracts will be key to a successful 2024 trade deadline upgrade

Wouldn’t it make more sense to bring back Bamba at $7M than Beasley? If not the BAE would need to go towards a center rather than Dennis. I like the idea he’s proposing but just seems a little too heavy on guards with Beasley, Bruce Brown, Christie, Reaves, Dlo, JHS, and Dennis all deserving of playing time and only AD as the center.

So just F*** the Center (5) position entirely? Did we not learn anything from the Denver sweep? We need a large body that can play defense, rebound and protect the rim; especially with AD’s fragility concerns. If Mo can bulk up and take the job that would be great but we definitely need a big. (Sorry I’m still experiencing PTSD from the lack of a 5 in the WCF, forgive my snarky-ness). 😅

Is anyone advocating for giving the Full Non-Tax MLE to Dwight Powell? If we were going to have that type of exception, I’d rather try and lure Brook Lopez to the Lakers.
Use the BAE for a wing – Torrey Craig level of guy
and fill out the mins with another back up PG (maybe Jevon Carter if he’s okay with that rate) and Troy (SG/SF) for the two vet mins.
Not sure if we have to stay under the tax once we give out the MLE or not. But assuming we do, I’d just float the 15th roster spot. Give Castleton, Hodge and Swider a lot of time on the main roster.
The big loss here is Dennis, but i’m hoping a combination of Dlo, Fino and a backup min PG would be enough playmaking on top of Austin and LeBron.
Note – Brook and Jevon might want to reunite with Darvin since Coach Bud is gone with the Bucks.
