Think about what Lillard has in Portland. He could run for the governor of Oregon. He wouldn't be the same if he went too another team period.
The ring is great but his legacy won't be affected by that. James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Boogie Cousins, Blake Griffin and others chased the ring with nothing to show for it.

If the Blazers traded the number 3 pick for a player no one that they could have realistically gotten in a trade could help them win a championship. Portland also has to worry about their future
