The more of these players that go above the MLE, the less likely some asshat team tries to screw the Lakers cap situation over by giving Rui an above market contract.
And hey even if he doesn’t end up on the Lakers, if the Nuggets lose him for nothing it’s still a small victory on our end.
Possibly….but does He want to play for said teams? Here’s to hoping the Lakers provide a happy Medium between getting paid and a chance to win!
No shit. Bruce Brown to the Lakers was always a pipe dream.
It was more likely that he would take a paycut to stay with the Nuggets before getting an actual contract next season.
He would have to want to be a Laker. Can’t be mad at him for getting his money though he earned it.
Overpriced. His stats arent too dissimilar from Dennis. just hype from a couple playoff games.

I don’t know why this sub is so obsessed with Bruce Brown 😂 He proved to be a consistent playoff contributer in the biggest moments.
That’s akin to other teams genuinely believing they could get Rui/Reaves in free agency for the MLE.
Not to mention he said he wants to stay with the Nuggets. If he goes anywhere else it’ll only be because he’s offered a *much* bigger contract
