I just have a hard time buying into the idea that TP will swallow his pride and come back here on a cheaper deal. Houston is home for him and I could see them offering him a nice deal to be the veteran leader in that locker room

– Eric Gordon, Bruce Brown, Dennis Schroder, Jevon Carter, Max Strus, Troy Brown, Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Richardson are all names to look out for. Some are very unlikely (Gordon, Bruce Brown) but one or two seem very possible (Carter, Richardson, Strus)
– Interestingly, Strus was a target at the trade deadline in February, and last year the team believed they were close to agreeing a deal for DDV before he went to the Warriors
(Afaik, Strus was a known target at the deadline, but I hadnt heard anything about DDV in any of Jon’s articles)

Good info in here on our targets, but JonK doesn’t seem too hopeful on our chances for some of the better players.
Feels like our MLE will be NAW + mid-tier FA guy + a vet min or two to fill out the roster. I’m curious if the front office see Moore or Minott filling any roll other than depth for injuries this season. Feels like Minott is another season away and Moore just might not cut it in the league if he can’t find his shooting.

DDV makes the most sense, Knicks are rumored to be after him to join Brunson and Hart (Villanova connection) but we can pretty much guarantee him first guard off the bench.

I hate these articles! The only bit of ‘news’ is that they talked to Washington about Morris and the talks went nowhere. The rest is rehashed news content copied and pasted for the tenth time and his opinion about various free agents. This just isn’t reporting. Jake Fischer at Bleacher Report does actual NBA reporting.

I haven’t watched him play much, but why is Jevon Carter seen as a cheaper MLE guy? 3&D and some playmaking for a position really lacking in this free agency class seems like it should help his case by a lot.

Jevon Carter led the league in defensive pressure on ball handlers this year. Jaden was 4th on the list. His ability to get through screens at the point of attack is much need for the Wolves.
