he didn’t want to be here either. got his supermax and bounced as soon as he could.

FO probably realized that they couldn’t build a competent team re-signing Kuz and KP with the new CBA and it didn’t make sense to keep Beal during a rebuild

Well yeah? He wasn’t going to be around for the rebuild lol

Seemed obvious when Winger was already talking about “having the authority” to rebuild during his introductory press conference. I imagine him gently explaining to Ted that the very first thing he needed to do if he took the job was trade Beal. Glad he did it.

Feel like quotes will get misconstrued during the newness of Brad being gone, but it has more to do with a brand new front office coming in to clean house.

Nobody in their right mind watches Tommy try to build a winning team with Brad for 4 years, and then comes in and does exact same formula.

Once we got serious about the front office being restructured, that sealed the deal on moving Brad.

Ok Brad, but seriously…at 250m less the 50 games…How selfish can you be….
The Franchise was done and Cap-jailed to you…
You should have offered to go…. That’s what a caring person does Bro….
And then you don’t speak on it… Regardless…
Sure didn’t hear you when you left John hanging on Run-it-back 🤣

I mean, is he really complaining? Winger wanted to tear it down, and he gets to play with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. Seems like a win-win to me.

I’m still a huge fan of Beal and the Wall/Beal era. But I can also keep a realistic outlook for the franchise and realize it was time to move on (long overdue). I’m sure Brad understands that. He’s a smart guy. And he seems to treat this for what it is: a business/job.

I’ll say it again for the people in the back:

    BEAL NEVER REQUESTED A TRADE.

The new front office decided they wanted to tear it down, so he used the no trade clause given to him by the last front office to go where was best for him and his family.

It’s ok to be disappointed in the trade returns, but dont hate the man who was loyal to us until it was clear the team wanted to move on from him.

Yeah I didn’t, he’s a good dude but it was time. Sorry brad, didn’t know it’d bug you so much man

I imagine part of interviewing a couple people for the FO jobs meant asking them what they thought of the roster and what they would propose going forward. Ted might have gotten some pretty sobering evaluations from several different parties on that one.

If you interview 6 guys and they all find a diplomatic way to tell you that they think you should blow it up then maybe you listen. Knowing Ted as well he probably needs someone else to pass the blame onto so this all tracks.

Fam… you theoretically brought in the new front office the day we were eliminated from playoff contention, behind the NTC that *YOU* signed.
