[Blake Murphy] Raptors did not extend a qualifying offer to Dalano Banton. He’ll now become an unrestricted free agent. Entirely possible he’s back, but his qualifying offer was larger than the 2-year veteran minimum, so they opt to go the UFA route.

where is that redditor that hates this dude

Man if there’s any player that I can see breaking out it’s dalano. Nick nurse screwed his development like he was given a chance here and there and then just 40 straight games of DNPs

I personally have higher hopes for Dalano than Malachi. Time will tell.

His basketball IQ lacks. His size is great

His stat line during his first start is why he can be a key rotation player. Putting up 27 pts, 4 rebs, 4 asts, 2 blks, and 3 stls on 56.3/42.9/100 shooting splits.

I kinda just assumed he would re sign with us anyways. He’s playing for his home team and is probably thrilled to be here

we are not even competing why wouldn’t you keep a fan favourite from Toronto who didn’t get a fair shot under nurse

He may not be a starting PG type player (yet) but he’s shown glimpses of being a good backup. I really hope the Raptors can re-sign him.

I hope he has a good savings plan because I don’t think he’s going to stick around the NBA much longer. He’s just not that good.
