The Toronto Raptors have made some decisions regarding their guards as they extended qualifying offers to Jeff Dowtin Jr. and Ron Harper Jr. while Dalano Banton was left for unrestricted free agency. Honestly Dalano ain’t that good, at least not as a PG. He’s a below-average ball-handler who can’t shoot. He’s better off as a SF who moves well off the ball and cuts to the basket.
Dalano meh, Downtin Jr, Flynn, Markquis finna battle for back-up. Start Barnes at PG or attempt to sign D'Angelo

Just because Ryker doesn't know his name doesn't mean anything other than he shouldn't be on the channel if you want to reach the next level.

I’m not mad at a Fred VanVleet re-sign at $24-26mil/ year over 3 years. If the new coach can incorporate the best parts of FVV into a new offense and give him that near All-Star level production he had only two seasons ago he could be a great signing for the Raptors.
I still bet Matt Thomas is the man at point. He can handle the ball, hit the open man and is a great shooter if he can create his own shot. His D was no worse than Van Vleet or even Lowry. His talents are going to waste elsewhere. You could probably get him for a song and at least give him a shot.
The thought of Fred and/or Jakob going to Houston or elsewhere for nothing is heartbreaking, especially given the Raptors history of losing free agents for nothing in return. I would hope that we could at least sign and trade them to the teams of their choice to open up a trade-exception like the Celtics did with the Hornets in the Gordan Haywood trade when he was a free agent despite the Hornets having enough cap space to sign him outright. That would probably be the most amicable solution for all parties involved.

I’m not sure Banton has an NBA spot he is either a PG or SF and should get 905 and big team Mins. I would really try and move Flynn for a 2004 Second or part of trade packs.

Don't look at Poeltl trade as a 1st and two 2nds. We also got rid of Birch's contract, which is worth a 2nd rd pick. So we actually gave only one 2nd for Poeltl (and a 1st, of course).
For some reason players don’t seem to like Nick Nurse. This is becoming more and more obvious.
