I’m a kings fan stopping by here. I know a lot of y’all are probably pretty loyal to starting, developing, and playing tre jones a lot of minutes, however I don’t think that’s a great route to go.

I think the Spurs someway somehow should go out and try to get a veteran, playmaking point guard to help create for Wemby a bit. Getting Wemby easier looks early in his career could be so crucial to his development. Guys like FVV, Conley, Lowry, Chris paul even if he’s on the table still, monte morris, etc.

Either way wish y’all the best.

    I don’t hate Kawhi.

But that’s probably because I’m Canadian and he helped the Raps get a chip.

Trade Wemby for multiple first round picks. Trade those for multiple x multiple second round picks in the same year. I dream of a day when I get to hear the deputy commissioner say “With the 31st pick the San Antonio Spurs select…with the 32nd pick the San Antonio Spurs select…with the 33rd pick the San Antonio Spurs select…”and so on, and so on, all the way to 60. I wanna fuckin OWN the second round one year.

We arent going to be dominant team for another few years

  5. GrumpyRaincloud

    Oof, I have a few.

Sochan is a good transition passer but shouldn’t run a half court offense.

If we win a title with wemby, 12 players from our current roster likely aren’t involved.

Having an isolation scorer would do wonders for our current team.

Keldon Johnson looks to be unplayable in playoff scenarios. He’d just get mismatched off the court with his defense and size.

If Primo issues a public apology, completes a Spurs organized therapy and outreach program, and shows that he understands what he did was evil and wrong, I think PATFO should resign him

I was around for the entirety of Bowen’s time with the team and understand his popularity and importance to the fan base, but I really wish we didn’t have the number retired of such a ridiculously dirty player. “Fuck Zaza” is still a rallying cry here and Bowen ran under the feet of far more players than Zaza ever did.

Tre should be paid higher than Tyus. Tre’s speed, finishing, leadership and game management skills are excellent for a guy with his exp. Tre would dominate the old school skills challenge.

  9. Tonyp2120

We should have found a way to keep Scola or get him back. His offense would have been huge during the RJ era when we struggled so much to score, and take some offensive weight off TD.

Spurs are good this year and will get the 8 seed.

Like someone else here said, Bowen was honestly a dirty player. Like he seems like a cool dude off the court, but we all know he pulled some shit. Still feel a lot of nostalgia for him, but yeah I’m kinda more reserved on the whole Zaza thing because of Bowen’s stuff. It’d feel a little hypocritical to rally against Zaza without acknowledging what Bruce did.

Also, what Horry did against Steve Nash was kinda fucked up. Although Raja Bell (Nash’s own teammate) has implied Nash may have sold it a little. Still, it got pretty crazy that series.

Manu gets grief for fouling Dirk, letting him force OT and lose us the Finals, but Pop lost us the series vs the Clippers in 2015 with his hack-a-Jordan strategy. It kept destroying any momentum the Spurs had on offense and Chris Paul was too good a PG – he could restart their momentum without a problem. Popovich failed to recognize this and lost us a chance to repeat.

That the upper level remodel on the other side of the HEB fan zone that eliminated over 100 seats that had long term season ticket holders to add a few restaurants was a bad idea. I’m talking about section 231, 200 and 201.

  14. TomTom_82

The Spurs collectively and Wemby individually will have a much better season than expected.

  15. Veggiedelite90

Tre is a bad starting point guard and I hope we don’t pay him like he is more than a decent bench player. Just cause we don’t have anything better doesn’t mean he’s worth more money.

  16. nrojb50

The AT&T center is an abortion of a stadium location. It is neither integrated into the downtown nor the center of population and costs the entire town the benefits of a popular destination.

  17. mikostands

The 2008 Kurt Thomas trade fucked the Spurs over and until now I still don’t understand why the team was so obsessed with getting past-their-prime PFs like him and McDyess during that time period.

  18. Tunechi_Sama

Wemby is the starting center regardless of how he feels about playing center.

  19. magicmvj

    Not really hot but whatever

    1. Primo was ass and was not worth the hype nor the investment the Spurs were seemingly about to make in him. Him exposing himself as a creeper saved the Spurs.

    2. I love Keldon’s energy and personality but I don’t feel he’ll get any better even though he’s still young. Sochan, Vassell, and Branham all have more upside than him and I think by quite a bit.

    3. Tre Jones, whether he starts or not, should never be let go and should be our new long-time Spur a la Patty Mills. I love him.

    4. I liked Richard Jefferson on the Spurs and if they had used him right, he 1000% would have been an upgrade over 40-year-old Bowen. They misused the hell out of him.

    5. Samanic would’ve been good. Pop had too short of a leash with him.

  20. InThePaleMoonLyte

We should have started tanking the moment Kawhi left. LMA should have been traded, we sure as hell should not have gone after DeRozan either.

  21. totentanz_

As of now, Kawhi is the 5th greatest Spur of all time, above Gervin.

  22. Youngthephoenixx

Tre and Zach are not starter quality players in the NBA and I’m tired of the majority of fans acting like they aren’t a huge glaring problem that needs to be addressed asap. Also Sochan has never been and will never be able to play PG full time. We can run it for a play or even a quarter if there’s an obvious advantage to be had in the match ups but people need to stop suggesting Sochan can be our PG. He doesn’t have the handles/ speed/ court vision/ passing ability to play PG full time and him playing the 1 would completely ruin spacing for everyone else.

  23. FirstTribeElder

I know we all hate the lakers but the spurs should have traded kawhi to the lakers to jumpstart the rebuild instead of toronto. A haul of brandon ingram, kuzma, josh hart and 2 frp was far better than what we got from the raptors.

  24. kimchiwi

Jakob Poeltl and Zach Collins are only popular for Spurs fans because they’re white. I’m going full Kendrick Perkins on this shit. I don’t see the appeal of their game at all. They both had good numbers but that don’t translate into wins. Just look at Dejounte Murray.
Give me a hobbled Steven Adams any day of the week with Mo Bamba and Charlie Bassey as his back up.

  25. wildwestsnoopy

Kawhi did enough during his time as a Spur that his number be retired.
