@Miami Heat

Barry Jackson: Per source, Heat has made an offer to Vincent similar to structure of Caleb Martin’s 3-year deal but for bit more money (more than $7 M per year for Gabe). It did not move the needle. Vincent’s return is looking less likely, unless Heat raises its offer.

We are beyond cooked I fear, lowry PG1 and a G league backup

  2. If this doesn’t show how badly we need to make a move of some kind then idk what will. We can’t even afford to keep Gabe smh.

  3. Esjay954

Even the run it back plan failing cause arison cheap 😭

  4. jbenson255

3/30 would be my final offer for Gabe tbh outside of that yeah let him walk unfortunately

  5. darthfrank

RN: OMG PAY HIM. MICKEY IS SO CHEAP

Two Years From Now: WHY DID WE PAY THIS GUY SO MUCH??? PAT IS COOKED.

  6. MediocreDVaMain

Harrison Barnes got 18 mil, not a stretch to say that Gabe is worth at least 10 mil. Toronto will probably lose FVV and we all know Masai loves African nationals that offers a ton of intangibles

I have mixed feelings about this, on one hand I was happy for his playoff run and want to keep him. On the other hand, I don’t wanna see them overpay and lock long term money to another undrafted guy. Off to a shaky start already.

That boy gabe said y’all niggas got me fucked up im out the six💀

  8. SportsBall89

Everyone let’s start pooling our money together

  9. iCOULDbewr0ng

Oh god…please don’t give him a bad contract

If he doesn’t want 3/30mil then just let him walk

Anything longer than 3 years or over 10 mil per season is going to be an overpay

  10. Sorryunowin

Caleb better than Gabe. Miami offered Gabe slightly more than what they offered Caleb…

It sucks but I think this is good. Lets start seeing some new blood with this core

  12. julstar23

Yup knew they would do this .Caleb was comming off a much better year too .So if gabe wants to get paid more good for him .That’s my guy but Duncan was the last undrafted player they overpaid and I get it .

  13. vincemeister55

fuck gabe. let him kendrick nunn the other teams.

  14. espnfire45

People are getting too pissy here, but if we overpay for gabe, yall clowns will come back and bitch about how pat was a idiot to overpay him. Anyways, the max that i think is fair is $10 mill/year, if Micky is reluctant to even give that then fuck his cheap ass

  15. CenturionElite

We knew this was gonna happen when they all went off in the playoffs. Can’t fault the guy for wanting to see what he’s worth somewhere else. Altho I was hoping the heat would offer more too

  16. Hassan_upside

Wait, people are actually mad that we’re not overpaying an UDFA? Wtf is wrong with you guys lol

  17. MostlyPurple

If we can flip Dipo for a solid backup PG (or something like that), I’m cool with it. If the plan is to have Jamaree Bouyea be our backup PG then not so much.

  18. Said it many times before – I will keep saying it: For all the strides Gabe has made – his limitations are always exposed when it matters most : playoffs/ECF/finals. The current offer the Heat have made – they would essentially be overpaying him SIGNIFICANTLY. Paying him too much more than he is currently making is too much. If he wants more than what he is currently making — let him walk . He won’t be missed . He is easily replaceable . Gabe has been the beneficiary of an organization that is great at developing players and willing to play them at all cost. Fact is , on every other team in the league — Gabe would be third string (at best ) — more realistically , back in the G-league. Let him walk . Wave goodbye .

We’re gonna lose Vincent lol. Dame ain’t leaving Portland

Over the last two post seasons I can count more than a few games that we don’t win without crunch time Vicent plays; mainly timely threes.

Tough shot making during crunch time is a premium skill; people are going to pay more than 7 million for it especially since only one person is going to win the Fred VanVleet sweepstakes.

I’ll be sad to see him go. We’re a team strapped for spacing, shooting, tough shot making and offense in general. I think we’ll be a worse team if we lose him.

  21. Gavster1221

I think Arison is cheap but this is not why.

Gabe and Max are NOT worth 10 mil+. Idk how we got here with them

  22. Fair_University

I’d go as high as like 10. But if he’s demanding 14 or more then it’s time to walk

  23. s1lentastro1

I never liked the Lowry trade, and aside from Jimmy and Bam, who’s our next “big 3rd”?

we got Bam, Jimmy – neither of which are guaranteed offensive threats on a consistent basis – and Lowry who shows you flashes of his former self for $85M.

and we have no money. hopefully the FO figures out how to spend more wisely from here on out. we’ll see what happens.

  24. pansexualpastapot

We over paid Duncan and can’t afford to pay any of our other developed guys. This sucks.

I love Vincent, watching him make strides the last couple years has been amazing. I hope he gets what he is worth, but I hate to see him leave.

  25. IMicrowaveSteak

Strus is worse than Gabe and getting 3 year $42-48m from the Pacers. And we’re offering Gabe half that? What the fuck?
