> Rose survived with his pregame show, but, making millions, he had been a target as ESPN likes some of its emerging analysts, such as Kendrick Perkins, JJ Redick and Richard Jefferson.
might be part of it too – unless they also drop Greenberg
> He exited [Get Up] after ESPN decided to make Mike Greenberg the solo pilot of the program.

I truly think at this rate, the next TV contract ESPN will be out because of the cost issue and CBS will return. It’s very likely for them to snatch the talents from ESPN, including Breen and possibly JVG.

Wonder if Bill gets him to the ringer
PhatYeeter
He got a job at ringer till the day he dies he’ll be fine
Neither_Department_9
Hopefully he goes to the Ringer and Jalen and Jacoby pod comes back
ZAKTMT
Jalen had seem pretty fed up working there for awhile.
I really miss when he and Bill Simmons would do yearly round-ups prior to the season starting about their expectations for teams. Right or wrong it was just fun content.
Shaqovitch
ESPN really about to have Pat Mcafee cover sports he knows nothing about
matty_nice
Jalen and Jacoby gonna reunite with Bill Simmons.
Kinda think the Ringer is gonna branch out even more.
dbr3000
if Perk survives those layoffs, it tells you all you need to know about what ESPN values in their “analysts”
Schwalm
Damn who they gonna have for the 2 minute halftime show in the playoffs?
AutographedSnorkel
Bill Simmons about to scoop up his old buddy and bring him to the Ringer.
Time to bring back those NBA preview videos with Jalen holding a baseball bat
Rakatok
Bill Simmons rubbing his hands together.
kmagic13
Mark Jackson next

ESPN must be bleeding money at this point.

But Screamin’ A and Mad dog still have jobs?

So we were watching get up this morning and they were having “technical difficulties” when trying to get Jalen Rose on.
Turns out he wasn’t on because they fired him.
klobucharzard
they paid keyshawn johnson $18M to be like “yea i dont watch the NBA, but lemme say this…”
13WillieBeaman
Lol, damn.. those in-studio hair lineups must’ve costed too much.
Anora6666
He didn’t follow step 2. Don’t get fired.
HeyWhatsUpTed
I never got his appeal. He has no charisma never says anything interesting and looks odd
kosmos_uzuki
ESPN has been painful to watch / listen to for years now. This is great news.
