The Utah Jazz traded for John Collins from the Atlanta Hawks for Rudy Gay and a protected 2nd round pick. John Collins coming to the Jazz for just a 2nd round pick makes this a pretty amazing 2023 NBA offseason so far for the Utah Jazz and there’s no reason to think this can’t be a huge pickup for the Jazz if he can find his shooting stroke from 3 again.

you guys will be complaining for the next 3 years about john collins contract especially with no real pg to get him the ball . its hard to find a John collins highlight that didn’t have trae young in it. at this point he is a lob threat only with a solid mid range but his finger is mangled. He cant create he cant pass and now he cant shoot . and his post game is blah bc of his lack of ass in the post he struggled to back down Lowry in the post in the playoffs.

It amazes me that somebody can literally name every single player on the entire roster and leave off Collin Sexton like he shouldn't be the starting point guard.

We should've climbed in the draft… and Collins… wont make us great, and huge contract by the way, I'd prefer JC… So now we should pay for overated players, and not pay guys who have really shown their talents and love for Jazz nation…
I've been irrationally high on Collins for years now. Wanted to trade Bojan for him in 21, wanted to trade gobert for him and hunter last year and wanted to trade vando and beasly for him at the deadline. I even wanted to draft trace Jackson Davis because I thought he could be a Collins lite. But my mind is blown we were able to get him for a protected 2nd rounder 😂

The narrative that "Danny Ainge does it all" is kind of annoying me… Justin Zanik is the GM and from what I have heard, he's the one primarily on the phone. Who tf makes laundry fields a Gm with zero experience, we had a decent Gm with Travis schlenk, but no the son of the hawks owner wanted to play GM so he traded and overpaid for Murray, now that hawks team that reached the conference final is slowly vanishing when they only needed to add a piece or two. Only hope is to sign Jaylen brown somewhere somehow
