The Hawks are finalizing a trade to send F/C John Collins to the Jazz for Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick. Atlanta’s largely unloading Collins’ three years, $78M for some roster building flexibility and alignment with looming changes to salary cap. The deal to acquire Collins delivers the Jazz a versatile forward to play alongside All-Star Lauri Markkanen and All-Rookie center Walker Kessler. The Hawks and Jazz have discussed numerous iterations of the deal for over a year. The Hawks are expected to continue to be in a deal-making mode this offseason and ownership has given GM Landry Fields the OK to move into the luxury tax should it be necessary to improve the roster, sources said. —- ESPN

When I saw the Bradley Beal trade, I knew a John Collins trade was going to look something like this.
Why did it take so long to get him traded? Because other teams seen what I saw when I watched him play. LAZY, LAZY, LAZY. No hustle at all. Big mistake for the jazz. No disrespect intended, but he will have to show a new attitude if he wants to impress the UTAH crowd.
I love your videos. But Collins quality of pay has gone down each year after getting paid. Hell you can go back to after he got caught with the PEDs. His value was low. He isn't a great defender and we can have some better flexibility. I agree tho our owner is ass.
