dude is gonna be a baller in a hurry, watch. Imo NBA execs don’t know how to properly scout the g league yet so Spurs are taking advantage, similar to how they used to do with players overseas. NBA teams are all about “what have you done lately?” whereas Spurs take almost NFL-esque deep dives into players’ backgrounds. They consistently out-draft their position, consistently find talent in places other teams fail (or refuse) to look. No reason Sidy should have fallen that far into the second, if he was going to fall into the second round at all. He’s been playing pro ball since he was an early teenager. That has to count for something. Certainly a lot more than one year in the g league.
