Nets Free Agency Coverage: Live Coverage as the Nets add talent and balance the books

The Nets have already made early Free Agency noise, trading Joe Harris to Detroit along with two second round picks. The move creates an additional $19.9m TPE and helps bring the overall salary cap down ahead of the presumed Cameron Johnson re-signing.
Will Sean Marks use any TPE or MLE options to improve the backcourt or Center depth? That remains to be seen…

  1. Brooklyn did a lot today! They traded Joe Harris and second round draft picks to the Pistons to create another big 19 million TPE and just resigned Cam Johnson to a huge 4 year 108 million contract 🔥🔥🔥…

Some people can argue that's too much but if Brooklyn makes a big move down the road having Bridges and Johnson on big contracts will be crucial to building their complete team….

  2. If Jock Landale is available Brooklyn should sign him. Hes a good defender and would provide some good energy as a backup center off the bench….

  3. The Heat and Cavs are looking for a third team in their big Max Strus trade.

If Brooklyn gets involved they need to get significant draft capital back or a valuable bench player…

  4. Not until they're signed by other teams, I'll hold out hope we'll sign Brook Lopez or Mason Plumlee. Christian Wood wouldn't be a good fit. We need a real backup center with size. Wood is a power forward.

  5. The starting 5 will stay intact. Simmons, Thomas, Sharpe, RaiQuan Gray, and O'Neale will come off the bench. Rookies Clowney, Wilson, and Whitehead will be used at JV's discretion.

  6. Yikes, $108 mil for 4 years. Damn, CJ got paid. Were the Nets bidding against themselves?
