teams are making trades, players are signing new contracts. The Blazers haven't moved an inch. Is Cronin on vacation?
Draymond please
Start 3:55
Bobby Fortis?
Let's be logical here… GS dumped Poole for CP3. Why would they now trade the lynchpin of their defense for Simons?
Dray's Dame's friend but hes Steph & Klay's brother. Theyve won 4 rings together & DG said their window isn't shut just yet. He's not leaving them to help the 29th defense in the league by himself. Please tell me any reasons he'd do that and don't say 40 mil. He'd take a paycut to get Klay re-signed next yr before he signs here for more.
If going the middle route is really the intention of our front office, I'm pissed. This is the worst possible path we could take in my opinion. Instead of properly building a team around Dame or rebuilding around Scoot and Sharpe, we stay mediocre for the next 10 years with no realistic chance at a title. Basically the same shit Olshey did in the last decade.
As a nets fan looking in you guys dont realize that you're already in a rebuild 😂🤣😂 it's just time to let dame go You guys had years of his loyalty it's time to see him Happy somewhere else getting a chance
Blazers uprise fr the best channel as a blazer fan imo 💪 love the content and agree with the takes
Hey guys, I'm gonna through this out there that Cronin's strategy isn't bad or illogical. Remember last year when the Blazers were in first place at 10 and 4 and things looked great. Then Nass got hurt, Winslow got hurt and the biggest complaint was a lack of bench depth. All things being equal, with a resign of Grant we are only in need of replacing Hart in the starting lineup. I also remember the discussions before last year how it was going to be Little starting and Hart off the bench. So…, this current iteration of the Blazers are adding: A healthy Little 🙏, a bench that has all the experience they collected last year from playing extra minutes during the tank, three pretty good rookies on cheap contracts that are only going to make the bench better, and some flexibility to still make a deal for a 3. I believe a bench of Scoot, Shaedon, Trendon, Kris, Rupert, Matisse, Jabari, Keon, Kevin and a good back up center, (I to would love Drew back but I think we can upgrade that position). I say run it back and see how it plays out. Trades can be made at the deadline next year, or this team could be 8 to 10 points a game better with this bench and everything else should be better than last year. Go Blazers.
It's the same story last 3-4 years. This team don't go anywhere with Lillard. He has his 40-50 millions…he nows if he go to Heat or elsewhere he gonna not wins championship…his prime is over.
Some Blazers fans are defending Cronin and shitting on Dame, which is odd. We tanked twice and Cronin got nothing out of it, except for a really shitty roster. If we go into the season with 4 guards, Dame has to ask out, that is unacceptable. So I expect Cronin to pull off some trade in free agency.
I get the frustration with Cronin's inconsistent comments, but it's so difficult to know what all of the parties know. That said, I appreciate that you gave some air to what Joe could be trying to do, Torey. It's frustrating to listen to only the darkest possible interpretations.
Been saying dame is not gonna ask out!
I'm really surprised they didn't trade #23 to Chicago…you can understand why they haven't traded Scoot (i honestly think the offers they got were equivalent to Powell- RoCo level trade in terms of value)… but having the ability to make future trades was going to give Dame and Portland some hope (till Feb at least)… now i reckon RIP CITY REMIX would have older roster than Portland trailblazers.
Dame is the franchise in Portland, the public wants him to risk it all to chase a championship, go to another team and be a piece to chase a championship, but there is no guarantees. Look at the clippers, He could go to Miami and jimmy Butler blows out a knee then there goes the championship. I just don’t think it’s worth the chase, he owns the city of Portland, he seems conten, I would probably do the same thing.
There is a 0.01% chance Draymond signs with the Blazers. I’m not even sure why you guys are talking about it.
Big picture: if Dame bails, his story, his legacy, is a repeat of so many other players who gave lip service to loyalty. The narrative will be that Dame squandered his career by not leaving earlier and finally left when it came down to (career) crunch time. Does he really want that? Nah.
I think he sticks it out in Portland, otherwise his story is just a boring replay of whoring after the ring.😊
I will root for whatever team Dame is on until the moment he retires, whether that’s in Portland or elsewhere. Not as a bandwagoner, but because I think he has given more to this franchise and this city than everyone else associated with the franchise combined. He will always be remembered as the face and ambassador of this organization, and for everything he’s sacrificed to stick around I will unconditionally support him. If he leaves, I’ll still root for Portland as my #2. But there is nothing I am more invested in as a fan right now than the legacy that he builds for himself
We have a poor ownership situation now too but people don’t wanna say that 🤷🏾♂️
I absolutely see Dame and Scoot tag teaming the offense…and taking the pressure off Dame. Don't trade Dame! I think assuming we won't be a good playoff team is sort of a false assumption…I agree with Torey about Draymond and disagree with Eric about Scoot, Dame and Cronin.
Happy birthday 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 eric
Ant for Cam Johnson actually makes a lot of sense…
I grew up with Damon stoudamire, roy then dame.
I don’t believe that Joe Cronin is capable of being an effective GM in league. It’s become more and more apparent from his trades, signings and press conferences that the most natural role for him is (and always has been) as a player scout.

I’m with what doing whatever it takes to keep dame, let’s go get Green
Probably means Lillard is toast.
2 points that Eric keeps hammering the Blazers over is trading away Josh Hart and taking the 5 2nd round picks instead of taking back Wisemans contract when they traded GP2
1) Josh Hart:
Just because Hart "looks" like he is going to be accepting his player option and signing a longer contract in NY DOES NOT mean he was going to do the same thing with the Blazers, if they did not have a handshake deal with hart to resign and he told them "im going to test free agency" then it was a smart move to trade him, the same thing happened with Lamarcus, the FO assumed they could get him to resign and he walked for nothing, Hart could have done the same thing. And in addition to that lets say Hart did resign with the Blazers, you have a 6'5 dude playing small forward!!! like really???
2) Wiseman contract
Erics sticking point about the GP2 Wiseman 2nd round picks trade is that the Blazers needed Wiseman more than the 2nd round picks because even if they dont use Wiseman they need that size of contract to use for trading. okay I get the reasoning but I think it is just wrong. Wiseman is a negative asset right now, everyone keeps talking about Nurk being a negative asset and that we would have to include stuff to get rid of him, thats the same with Wiseman! you would have to add assets to get rid of him because he is a negative asset, jsut because he was picked 2 does not mean he has value look at what happened to Bagley.
Also, the Blazers gave up literally nothing to acquire those 5 2nd round picks because the ONLY thing they gave up was GP2 who they got in FA and that only cost the Blazers a roster spot for half a season. With the new G league team those 2nd round picks are more useful than just trade fillers now, the Blazers can actually draft and develop 2nd round picks now.
Not only can you see the logic behind both trades but I would argue that both those moves were the right ones!
Trade Ant for Demar and our pick. Fair trade, good vet, better size.
I pretty much find myself thinking similarly to Eric here. I love Dame. I wanted to trade three for Brown or Bridges or similar. I am not thinking Cronin lied per se…if he had given three and Sharpe for example to get Bridges, likely we would be critical of Cronin for paying too much. So this is a fine line right? Until evidence to the contrary becomes available, I am prepared to assume Cronin made a fair effort, and teams basically told him he had to take 50 cents on the dollar to do a deal. If that is true…I am glad we passed. But now we got a problem…Dame and Scoot together, especially with both Ant and Shape, is not in any way a balanced roster. If we need to admit the vision has changed, and try to get Dame to Miami, I will root for Miami to win a chip, and the Blazers to develop and contend in a few years out. But….and this is a big but….if we can make a deal for maybe Ant and some maneuver…maybe future picks, maybe other player assets, and get a good big that helps balance the roster, than I can see Dame+Scoot. Or if we go for a big FA payoff…maybe. Granted though, I am just not sure Draymond has enough left to put us into real contention. Like 4 years ago Draymond? Yeah. But today Draymond? Man I dunno. What I think of Dame personally though is also my ride or die. If the dude asks us to try for an FA, and re-sign Grant and Dame stays. I say we do it. But if not? Then I am also all in on just getting a good deal from Miami or Brooklyn, and sending Dame to a place he can take a shot from. I think it is okay, if nothing really good is on the table, for Cronin to now admit that a good move to help Dame was not possible. That teams were simp0ly unwilling to make fair value offers, and so we are moving into rebuild mode.
Happy birthday Eric!!
australian club could work, would make more sense for us to go there because could do a watchalong or something like that. theres easily like 6-7 of us regulars
Eric came clutch with some heat talk ill take that
