I have very high expectations on this kid even before. Remember he's drafted 8th overall. Phil Handy will transform Jaxson, just like what we see on Rui Hachimura of today.
Now after all these signings and spending most of its FA money, just watch for james to start whining for management to get lillard now that he has asked to be traded even though that would: 1) gut the newly-revamped roster including the likely loss of reeves; 2) be unlikely given that the team doesn't have any trade assets portland would want outside of davis and reeves; 3) would not make the lakers a contender given the roster would be stripped of depth and its remaining unprotected 2029 first; and 4) could needlessly put the team over the second apron for an aging player whose contract will start to smell in two to three years.
If AD is still the full time center when the season starts it all means nothing.

Dangelo/Reaves/Jaxson Hayes/ lebron/ AD.
Hayes should run the floor when we secure the rebound, lebron AD or Reaves push the pace. Hayes will easily get 16pts off of this all game.
Hayes dont settle for jumpers either. He attacks from the 3pt line really well, great at maneuvering thru defense and good passer. Better finisher than Vando.
He's even more efficient in the paint than even AD.

I can see guys like Jalen Hood (who played w trayce jackson davis looking like cp3 out there w Jaxson Hayes and AD. Dlo would also love playing w Hayes. Our defense will be stupid nice.

Thought we would settle for an old Cadillac..but how did pelinka get a guy that can actually get better. Being in the laker locker room with lebron and AD should mature him. We don't need bog numbers from these guys. Just make a presence. We are loaded with talent.
Palinka gets everyone right but no shooters.
The Lakers definitely still need a defensive-minded center to help anchor the defense when AD is off the floor. So hopefully that gets done. Jaxson gives the Lakers youth, size, and athleticism so that's a positive.

All these young guys they ve signed, with the right tutelage (bring in some legends to help train them). Overall it looks good but disappointed they didnt go after brook lopez. We need more than patchwork coverage at center.
