I need someone to believe in me like Masai believes in this core

  2. when you realize FVV wasn’t the only gambling addict on the team, FVV actually knew what he’s doing and it’s the FO that needs an intervention.

  3. sinova6ix

We’ll see, guys are gonna have to step up.

  4. ieastass69

lost to a god awful bulls team on home court to make the playoffs, picked in the lottery…LOST talent via free agency … and this FO thinks we can compete….

  5. myrapties

We lost Kawhi, Danny, Lowry, Gasol, Ibaka, Norm, FVV and Nurse from the championship team but Masai is still delusional enough to believe that we can compete for another championship? Just trade Siakam already and let’s get this rebuild started.

  6. SiakamsWager

Oof. Compete for a play-in win maybe.

  7. Legitimate-Row7081

man we must have one of the dumbest front offices if they really believe a team minus fvv can compete with giannis , miami with lillard etc .

  8. _Gourmand

I’m not really liking the direction we took. Shroder is decent but I feel like there were better alternatives including getting one through a trade. Do you think the Pelicans would do this: https://i.imgur.com/5VK4G0o.png

  9. DontCheeseMeBro

It’s sad how delusional Masai is

  10. The_Living_L

Honestly feel bad for Darko, first season coming in, has all this pressure to turn around a 10th seeded team, losing their second best player probably for nothing, and turn it all around with barely any changes

  11. AngryHelicopter

If that is actually true, then this front office needs to be put down, as they’ve lost all objectivity. If they actually believe that after last year, then I don’t know what evidence could possibly convince them otherwise, there might be none, they might just be *that* deluded. Who would have thought that re-signing Masai would fuck the team over this bad.

  12. Raptors887

LMAO they are absolutely delusional. What the hell has happened to Masai?

  13. everything_raptors

At this point I believe Masai and Bobby have a mandate to maintain competitiveness soo MLSE can continue to sell tickets at ludicrous prices.

I just don’t believe Masai and Bobby believe this team is worth keeping together

  14. fredvancleef

We could miss the playoffs entirely next year and Masai will still believe in this core and run it back

  15. 2Shizo2flow

FO trying to save face after yesterday lol.

  16. jovijovi99

The FO is fiending for that Christmas bonus

  17. chrisPjelly

The Raptors FO can believe in that all they want, but less and less people will believe in THEM over time, and that includes journalists and people in MLSE. The outcome of this year falls 100 percent on their shoulders this time around.

  18. LionsSchemer

Theres still people here who yell run it back lmao

  19. Ylissian

Someone please get Masai on his meds man

  20. As much as its going to suck to watch, we probably need them to be terrible early next year to have any shot of convincing the FO to do the right thing at the deadline.

Which, given the roster construction, isn’t really that far-fetched.

  21. Sins_of_God

“I dream like they dream” -Masai Ujiri

  22. darthrevan22

Such a disappointing thing to read tbh. It’s obviously to literally everyone except our front office that this core doesn’t have what it takes to compete as currently constructed. Sucks because they’re not even fun to watch, so it’s even worse.

  23. Extension_Pay_1572

I’m betting the Over when the odds are set at 42 wins.

This can work well if you know the vibes

  24. krypto9er

Explain to me why it’s always the front office that gets blamed when ownership also gets a say in the direction they want to take the team in? I understand front office hasn’t made the best decision but from what I understand the owners want to be contenders rather than rebuild.

  25. kingofaccounting

I believe in this core, its a 50+ wing team next year. Stop the group think, assess the team.

  26. ImmaFunGuy

Nurse: this team needs more talent, I can’t win with this team

Masai: watch me run it back with less talent

  27. Wallstreetpurge

Joke. The front office needs to be removed.

  28. buffalo-blonde

Giving Poeltl 80 million over 4 was a clear indication that Masai thinks he can compete with this squad

  29. BIKETYSON99

They don’t. Masai is stretching this trust the owners have in him as far as he can. 1 more season probably.

  30. TJStrawberry

So first it was no C, then it was nick nurse, now it’s FVV who was the problem? We just don’t have a damn superstar. Just two fringe all stars.. well 1 fringe star now

  31. noronto

My ex wife always said “addition by subtraction”….(I was the subtraction).

  32. octopus86sg

Believe in them for not tanking and losing FVV for nothing?

  33. Don’t believe anything the FO says. They fucked up and they know it. They’re basically bluffing and trying to save face.

The can believe all they want but the results are what matter and those have been bad. Eventually they will have to own up to it.

  34. boenwip

So what happens if this team doesn’t even reach playoffs? We didn’t get stronger, unless they really believe it was the coach.

The rest of the east continues to capitalise in the off season – we’ve essentially done nothing that moves the needle

  35. Busy-Tangerine6706

Man this sub is such an absolute downer. I don’t think I’ve seen anything positive said in a LONG time. How about we at least have a some optimism that maybe things will be fun to watch with the new coach. Perhaps certain guys will be happier with their role and happier within the system and culture that hopefully the franchise is trying to build again.

  36. Puzzleheaded_Heron_5

You guys really eat up everything the media gives you. The front office will never admit to giving up on the team until they pull the trigger, otherwise they lose all the leverage. But you guys fall for the bait everytime.
