Our future backcourt

Blazers fans, it’s a dark day for us all but what lies ahead is finally clarity and a direction for our franchise. There is light at the end of the tunnel and the light are these two freak athletes who happen to be our future backcourt. We have the backcourt with the literal HIGHEST ceiling in the NBA. Let’s sit back and enjoy these two boys put in the work this upcoming season. Go Blazers 🔥🔥🔥

This is the most excited I’ve been for young players in a long time. I let myself get hyped for Ant, but it was still nothing close to what I think these 2 could accomplish

  2. I hope we can re-sign Watford. It’s a pipe dream, but at least bring our boy back with the young guys.

I hope that this backcourt is worth the 5 years of not smelling the playoffs and 7 before we can get out of the first round. I hope you all are happy to realize that our next window is in 2030 assuming this sorry ass org doesn’t fuck it up.

It’s a decent Three guard rotation of Younger Players. Maybe none become stars But all have the potential to be at least good starters if not all stars

  5. I do think this team will be fun to watch. But man, if we can’t bring free agents to Portland with Dame, I don’t know how we will build around these guys. We need to hope these two can grow to be some of the best in the league, which I think they can. It may just take 5-8 years.

But yes, us fans are blessed to have a future rather than any unknowns that could have resulted in Dame leaving in FA.

It’s such a beautiful thing. It’s sad today, but still beautiful.

Fuck yeah, gonna he the Smash Bros for decades.

Well, at least Scoot can take the letter O now, unless they retire Dame’s number.

Oh it’s not a dark day.

It’s the day I’ve been waiting for for a really long time. The day we don’t have to be led by the weaknesses of a #1 option that is a 6’1.5″ PG who doesn’t play defense and is score-first.

In what Championship has that recipe ever succeeded? I don’t know why all y’all didn’t figure out each time he signed the supermax that he wasn’t doing the Dirk Nowitzski route, where your franchise player helps the franchise build the team needed to win. Or that he was always trying to leverage a sad little small market team for money to him and his bros (hence the Jerami misfire). That’s what it is for him. “Portland will pay you; come here and play.” Jerami doesn’t want to contend. Jerami wants enlightenment and money.

Yeah I said it. Fuckin ban me if you want.

I’m looking so forward to a Shaedon Sharpe franchise. Thinking about how to best kick start a franchise, holy fuck, it is definitely a two-way 6’6″ athletic freak with amazing vision, shot-making, and playmaking. I’m so fucking happy today. We are free from the tyranny of a bad strategy that we kept for so long because game-winners during sub-.500 seasons. I will always remember that insane efficiency game, though. That shit was literally beyond amazing.
