He’s seeing what we all see with this team. It’s going nowhere and he’s willing to move on. He’s gonna leave eventually, and we all know it. It just might be sooner than we think

Tbh it’s probably just a mistake.
With that said, his boy runs the Knicks and the whole WWW connection with him and the Knicks. It’s already leaked that NYK are lying in wait for Joel to ask out. Personally I think he’ll wait to see what exactly Daryl is up to. If we end up with say Lavine and Caruso, I think Joel gives it another year or two before asking out.
But people shouldn’t despair about it. The way I look at it, to make one more big trade we have to give up what remains of our draft capital. So the only way we can ever get draft capital is to trade Embiid. Preferably after we give it a few more real runs at a chip.

Right now is the perfect time for Embiid to ask out.
Sizeable amount of the fanbase turned on him, he saw that Dame’s org was unable to surround him with talent, and our org has continually had massive roster turnover that leads to no improvement.
