Free-agent forward Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards are nearing an agreement on a four-year deal to keep Kuzma with the team, a league source told The Athletic. Here’s what you need to know:
The deal is worth $102 million, according to ESPN. It is unclear if it includes a player or team option, and it’s unclear whether the $102 million figure includes unlikely incentives.
Kuzma averaged 21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists last season in Washington.
The 27-year-old will begin his contract as a centerpiece on a rebuilding Wizards team. Washington, under a new executive group, traded both Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis this month.
