Victor Wembanyama on Coach Pop: “He works out more than I thought. Every morning he’s there running on the treadmill, lifting weights. I thought I would’ve experienced ‘the yelling’ a bit earlier, but I’m ready”

Virgin stickman Wemby vs. Chad gym rat Popovich

  2. Tbh I can imagine Pop working out harder than the players and calling them lazy as he benches 300

This kid is so charismatic, how could you not like him. Gonna be a great face of the league if he lives up to his potential.

He thinks he’s ready for the “yelling” until he misses a defensive assignment or turns the ball over.

Wembanyama & Coach Pop is an 80’s buddy cop movie that writes itself

Good coaches lead by example. If the coach outworks you at the gym, then you better step it up. Especially if the coach is 70+.

  9. He’s way less of an idiot than young Tony and Manu were. Pop didn’t have to yell at Timmy quite so much.

“small market teams get less media attention”

Has an awesome head on his shoulders. Pop walks the talk and that’s why he’s as respected around the league and by his players as he is.
