No team is going to trade the farm for a disgruntled 33 year old star. If Lillard wants to play hardball he can let it be know he will only play for the heat. I’m the end the leverage is usually with the star. The issue is if dame would accept to go somewhere else and open up the market a bit.

Well, would have had more assets to trade Portland if they didn’t stretch this out all the way to this off-season. They’ve been tanking the end of the season, two years straight, with Dame on the roster.
And yeah, Dame can feel a strong loyalty to the fans and to the city. But what else? To this front office who showed up and turned his team into a garbage fire? To a team where he doesn’t know anyone on it? To a coach he doesn’t feel the same loyalty he does to Stotts?
