What should Portland do? Lmao, trade that guy as fast as possible while there's still a return.
Boston should do a sign and trade and trade jaylen brown for dame.
a lot of WOKE books behind this girl
Dame with jimmy and Bam fits so perfectly
lakers fans will somehow make this about themselves
You take the best possible package young players and draft picks who cares what dame wants. And what exactly has he done for the city? out here talking like he brought 4 titles and won an mvp
Thank you JJ God bless you. Sad it came to this but draft capitol is a demand
JJ, I feel like every American would be much better off, and would save themselves a lot of heartbreak and confusion if they got over the childish notion that an employer, whether it is Starbucks or an NBA Team, has any loyalty to you. You aren't part of "the family" you are, in fact, generally thought of as a tool that will eventually wear out and no matter how valuable your skills, eventually, continuity and the profit motive demands that you must be replaced and they cannot wait to do it if it will save money. As far as being fair to Dame, "fair" was mutually agreed to – 4 years, $176 million was the figure. The Blazers will do and should do, what is best for the Blazers, not what is best for Blazer employeees. We are all free agents now. Best of luck Dame. This Blazer fan will miss you.
In reality what teams does Dame Lillard go to that would "Realistically" give them a real shot at title contention? I think if the Bucks added him and kept Holiday, Middleton and GA that would be enough to get out of the East maybe Sixers if they keep Maxey, Harris and Embiid but I think the Bucks give him the best chance to get a ring, Lillard, Holiday, Middleton, GA and Lopez is a really good team.
I agree you should do what's best for the organization, but if you'll do that to one of your best players in franchise history, imagine how players would feel about going there. Everybody would try for a player clause haha.
You talked a lot without saying much. Excellent skill. You sure you aren’t interested in politics since nobody wants you in the NBA? Go Heat!
Nobody wants to live in or play for Portland lol Miami is popping rn
Dame should have requested a trade before the Grant signing when they had their meeting. He messed up not leaving earlier and now he messed up again. He's an example of a player of not making moves for his own career, stay loyal for what?
Blazers just want a fair trade for Dame. It's not that hard to understand
We not going to keep falling for this he going to Miami look at harden and KD neither one of them had a no trade Claus and had years on their contract and still went to where they wanted to
Love to see him in Miami but still thinks Bucks is the better option for all parties involved
Dame to the Spurs? 🤔
I wanna hear his take on da Knicks signing Donte
We live in a world where JJ Reddick and Kendrick Perkins have the same intellectual job…
Dame is going to end up at Orlando as payback for that Grant contract lol.
JJ usually makes so much sense but I'm pretty sure I heard him say "healthy Paul George" "healthy Kawahi Leonard" and "healthy Joel Embiid". That's like a lunar eclipse happening during a Presedential election on Feb 29th.
Ran from the grind
Dame been loyal for 11 years to Portland. The right thing to do is for management to accommodate a trade to wherever he wants to go. But at the same time I understand if the organization isn't going to let him go for just herro Duncan and picks. For Portland that isn't an enough return for an all star. He's going be hard to move depending on what teams are willing to give up for him.
I know it would be beyond complex to pull off, but a 4 team trade involving Portland, Philly, Miami & LAC sending Dame to the Heat, Harden to the Clippers, and young players/picks/salary cap relief to the 76ers & Blazers would be wild, especially since most of the straight up 2 team proposals don't offer as much.
U smarter then that JJ… Dame and harden ain’t the same situation one is a diva and is yet again forcing his way out a team and quite frankly the sixers should do was best for them team wise but dame on other hand seems tasteless for Portland front office to not honor his request and work to meet at some type of fair ground because if they do dame dirty there rep is gon take a huge hit for years to come in a small market tryna attract fa.
Even if Embiid is happy, they absolutely do not have a championship window. Embiid does not have what it takes to lead a team to a finals, let alone win one
If he feels they're not going to honor his request he should just threaten retirement should he be traded to any team he doesn't want to play for.
The relationship may be over, but our love affair with Dame will never end ❤ We wish you only the best. Many of us hope to see you back in a few years, in a Blazers uniform to finish your career🎉
Should Bam move to 4?
JJ, Damian is so valuable and has such a Fan Friendly persona and basketball respect that any move prior to Scoot and Shaedon leading the team/on posters and Wowing the crowd…while doing community and corporate endorsements in uniforms, suits, and golf shirts…. This is premature and pulling the rug out from Portland’s feet. Worse case, he stays for 2 more years with a generous bonus or they get Bam, Kyle, and Tyler from Miami… Damian is to Portland what Lebron is to the Lakers🤔I know that now🤔
