I mean the only option he has if he doesn’t get traded is to ask to sit, no? and I highly doubt an aging guard who is trying to prove they aren’t aging as much as everyone believes they are would want to sit and feed into the aging narrative

I mean, I think it’s been more than conceivable that he stays at least to the trade deadline this whole time, even after his opt-in. Same thing with Dame. Any time a high profile player demands a trade, generally his GM is better off waiting for a situation to develop on another team that makes them desperate for a change.

It makes the most sense. No team really wants to give him a long term deal, and outside of the Clippers we are the only team that he can compete with. He should just play out this year with us, try to win a ring and then leave in the off-season next summer.

I really don’t want to go through fat suit Harden but we also can’t afford to give him up for anything short of a solid haul, talk about a fucking rock and a hard place.

Something tells me Harden isn’t as displeased as the reports make him out to be. National media’s never really been friendly to him.

    Ok, God hates the Sixers….

Not interested in wasting another Embiid year with this clown show

Looking forward to fat suit Harden in a sixers uniform

lol wouldn’t it be hilarious if , harden doesn’t feel any pressure to win and so he ends up playing super clutch or something, that would be hilarious

What injury caused him to sit out (precautionary of course) in Houston at the end? Sort of expecting a flare up of that same injury if he doesn’t get traded. We’ll see I guess.

This is weird. If he’s actually open to coming back, why openly state that the expectation was that he had played his last game as a Sixer? Surely that came either from Harden’s camp or the Sixers. My guess is he’s not interested in coming back and this is Morey using Woj to say “we’re in no rush to trade him”.
I hope I’m wrong because I really hoped we could see this team under Nurse.

Each day that he’s not traded, adds another lb to the fat suit

    That’ll work out great

Just semantics but what does “more than conceivable” even mean? My guess would be that he wants to say it’s likely he stays, but aren’t they still fielding offers? I really hate the cryptic bullshit in the offseason lmao

Honestly I don’t even care anymore. In the morning it’s “he’s all but played his last game in Philly” and in the afternoon it’s “conceivable he remains a sixer” and later tonight it’ll be something different. I understand this is how it goes but it’s exhausting and I don’t believe anything I hear from any source. Just wake me up when the pre-season starts. Ffs.

I’ve been saying this all along. I just don’t see the right trade materializing at this time I don’t know what the front office is thinking but they’ve probably got like maybe 2-3 potential deals that they actually like and none of them are gonna be easy to make happen.

They’re not just gonna trade him just to trade him it’s an important deal for the future of this era of the team they will hold on to him as long as it takes for the right deal to appear and it may not be this offseason.
