4 years/$54M, 4th year player option. Shake on it, you cowards.

  2. Borktista

Zingus, Al, Timelord, and Grant is a damn good frontcourt

  3. GhostOfJiriWelsch

This bench needs him, pay the man

  4. SmoothCriminal2018

Considering it seems like his market value is even less now than the $15m he was rumored to have been offered for his extension, hard to see anyone being upset with this… except grant himself obviously

  5. Good, I hope we keep the other Williams too!

  6. BradyGronktd1287

Grant stays meaning we’ll have to trade Brogdon/Pritchard for salary reasons

  7. ChipotleGuacamole

This would be great hope it’s true

Hopefully they do keep him. Grant takes a lot of pressure off the rest of the bigs. With Horfords age, Zingis and Rob’s health hes much needed. For the regular season and playoffs.

PLEASE! With Smart gone we need toughness (and goofiness)

  10. If they do, my next question would be would they plan to keep Brogdon or try to trade him afterwards then?

Good, he’s worth it. Also think that him and KP would work really well together

Good. If it’s the NTMLE there’s no reason not to match. Very few teams have more than that available.

If true, Mavericks fans are going to have a breakdown. Apparently their entire offseason is predicated upon landing Grant for some unknown reason.

    My guess:

    MLE=match

    Above MLE=probably no match

  15. fookinjkap

Bench would be Brogdon Hauser Brissete Gwill Horford

I’ve been all for him staying, really hope he does. He’s tough and a goofball. He’s Tatum’s guy. Also he seems to be hanging around Boston and the C’s a lot which I like – even talked to Jordan Walsh yesterday

Honestly, this report doesn’t mean a whole lot. The Celtics have to signal that they will match any offer regardless. Then they can ask for a player/pick in order to let that team sign him (likely a s&t) at that point.

It’s very possible they keep him – he definitely has a role on the team with the health of our bigs – but I am not going to assume this means anything until he has signed a contract with us.

    Grant sign and trade. 🙏

Prayer warriors let’s get to work.
