Suns really don’t look great tbh. No real thought put into the roster construction. They’re also incredibly hobbled if one dude gets hurt

  2. Agitated-Cow4

How many balls does Phoenix plan on playing with? Impressive they assembled a starting five completely allergic to passing.

  3. Due_Effect5628

I wouldn’t sleep on the suns at all, but I still think we would take that series.

Also, I don’t think this is our final roster. Dlo just signed one of the most tradable deals on the market and we have a 2029 pick.

There is no way we don’t make another upgrade given LeBron doesn’t have much time left.

Run it back to start the season. See if players keep up their postseason, play and finalize the roster from there for the next two years.

  4. NotGonnaGetCaught

I’ll take the pair of superstars who know how to dominate together along with above average role players who play great with each other vs a team of stars who don’t play defense and haven’t played together offensively, with a defensive minded coach

  5. Awesomefan09

Lakers in 6 is about right. Two games of the Suns shooting lights out is more likely than not.

To be a stickler for the lineup, Vanderbilt > Hachimura in the starting lineup (for defense), and Christie > Reddish in general.

  6. LovetheNBA23

Man, the Suns defense looks terrible. Not a single player that I would consider a plus defender, a few neutrals and mostly negative defenders.

  7. Impossible_Dish_2197

I think Cam Reddish gonna be a monster on Defense. I feel it

  8. Spaghettibeach

KD and Lebron haven’t matched up in years but I think Lebron would wreck his shit. KD prolly gonna slip on a banana peel and end up not playing us at all

  9. the shooting difference between these 2 rosters is insane. suns added like 4 40% 3-point shooters to their already great shooting team while the lakers added none (arguably even worse than last season)

  10. blacPanther55

D’lo probably can’t start in a matchup against the Suns. I would start Vando and Rui for defensive purposes

    So

    Gabe/Reaves

    Rui

    Vando

    Bron

    AD

  11. sportsrapandalldat

Our back up 2 guard is Christie not Reddish.

  12. brownmansburdencom

Realistically it’s gonna be close. Phx got a ton better in their offseason. All depends on if our young guys take another leap which I’m sure they will.

  13. Mawly-G

Suns have a lot of overlapping skillsets. I do not like their roster balance AT ALL. They’ve got snipers and scorers no doubt, but they still lack defense and a true point guard. Not to mention Frank Vogel is more of a defensive coach. This is a strange roster for him. I’d be more worried if Mike D’Antoni was their head coach to be honest.

  14. VadersSuccessor

Still don’t understand the construction of the Suns given that Vogel is their coach. Are Beal and KD healthy enough to play consistent defense?

  15. CabbageStockExchange

The Suns are stacked offensively but have a defensive minded coach who’s offense was basically Bron isos. I like Vogel but he’s got a big job ahead of him.

    Lakers in 5

  16. jessandjaysaccount

I just want a healthy season. For every team.

  17. Kmeister3487

Frank Vogel is an upgrade. But I don’t think he has the tools to play his style like he did with the Lakers and Pacers. It’s not his type of team

  18. Substantial-Space900

Bench has no scoring at all, I like reeves off the bench. Start prince

  19. aginglifter

You are a homer if you aren’t favoring the Suns. Metu is an underrated pickup and they are overall better at every position outside of center.

  20. Nervous-Guava-7390

Closeout game Lebron vs elimination game Booker

All I know is the last game is gonna be a 50pt blowout

  21. tropicalstorm2020

Bradley beal won’t average more than 15 points.

  22. ApprehensiveWin6798

Bro that going to game seven

  23. Consistent_Owl4593

Oh god yes get the Eric Gordon switches on Lebron or Rui all game please 🙏 Lakers in 6 more then likely Booker is bound to go for 45 plus at least once

  24. HighlyBaked0

If Booker plays like how he did against Denver we lose tbh

  25. Dizzy_Lemon1967

We gonna get eaten alive by Jokic

  26. Sparkyis007

Our guards are going to get completely smoked by phoenix

  27. iabeytorm

EG isn’t starting and you completely left Keita Bates Diop off

  28. Super_Scratch_8086

until i actually see both play, objectively it’s the suns

  29. Fordraxel

LOL if Cam sees playing time Suns sweep. If Metu sees playing time Lakes sweep. If just going off of the starters alone, Suns win in 6.

  30. mcknightrider

JFC their bench looks awful. Booker, Durant and Beal are all going to play 40mins a game this year

  31. momosites

I’m not worried about the Suns at all. I’m still worried about the Nuggets. Their core is still intact. We need more bigs to bang with Jokic. At least we have more wing depth that can guard Jamal.

  32. Ryuken_H

I’m not even tryna be bias or mean but where tf is the defense at for the suns?!

  33. MazKhan

I think we can beat any team but would love for the suns and nuggets to play each other before we meet them

  34. Apart_Young_9979

Already igniring Denver , Malone is loving it

  35. AbeNunElse

I need Cam Reddish and Jaxson Hayes to ball out as Lakers, but especially Cam Reddish because if he can produce at a solid rate then the Lakers would be even better. Hes the wildcard for sure.

Regarding JHS and Maxwell Lewis, I still believe they CAN get minutes depending on the matchups. They’re both tall, long wingspans and both are quick on their feet. Austin Reaves and Max Christie both proved to be able to be impactful on both ends and change the team’s energy when they were rookies. Jalen Hood-Schifino and Maxwell Lewis seem like they could do the same in my opinion.
