    Not that I think that will happen but James Harden is on a one year contract. Perhaps the Bulls can get involved as a third team in a Harden or Dame deal.

    For those asking how long does it take…warriors did the same thing with klay’s injury…they applied on Nov 20th and was approved on the 25th of Nov. I think with ball’s history it’ll be way faster. I’m just hoping they don’t pull some bs cause this was the same player that they investigated the bulls for with tampering and tried to retract the signing

    I think there are like three things the bulls could do with this.

    I think most likely is try and fill out the roster with Vets and/or young guys needing a prove it year. Robbin Lopez, Mo Bamaba, Markeef Morris, and Justice Winslow come to mind.

    Secondly they could try and poison pill a young guy and overpay trying sell "Next year we're going to have all of Lonzo's and all of Demar's money come off the books so if you're prove yourself and take a lack of security this year could be in for a big pay day" ( I know technically Lonzo wouldn't come off till the year after, but I'm expecting his career to be over and for the bulls to file for the career ending exception after next season)Christian Wood, Grant Williams, PJ Washington could all be guys you try and throw the whole 19 mil at and see if one of them bites and if it doesn't work the contract is off the books next year.

    Third would be trying to utilize the space to bring in a big name in a trade this year. Siakam, Dinwiddie, Tobias Harris. Those kinds of guys. I think this is the least likely as I don't know why you would give up capital on a rental without knowing first how the team is going to perform, but they could float this money into the season see how it shakes out and just hang onto it if they are bad, but use it if say Toronto collapses and need to rebuild.

    Why did Bulls wait so late to apply for this? The major players have mostly signed already. It would have been nice going into free agency to have that extra $10MIL.

    Heard we got 10mil not 20mil clear. 20mil is a Star player. 10mil is a really good player. Sad, very sad but had to be done.

    You don't trade Jimmy Butler, you don't trade Zach Lavine. Let them grow and we gonna get there. Zach was coming off serious surgery last yr. Still put up what? 24 a game? Started Avg 40 to end year. He was hurt tho. Year before too.
