Dalano Banton news won’t exactly fire up a ton of fans, but he’s another piece in the Celtics depth chart at point guard that is a little lighter after the Marcus Smart trade. Malcolm Brogdon and Derrick White can hold their own along with ball-handling minutes from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, but Dalano Banton is an intriguing name to watch in the backcourt.

First of all, JB is a two way player and Dame is one of the worst defenders in the game. Let Miami have him and see their D crumble. Banton is a great signing, I was hoping Brad would sign him. He gives our bench a tall playmaker which it lacked. Just resign JB and match Grant and I have faith that it's good enough to be a title favourite for years.

Delano Banton is a 22 yr old, 6"7' point guard who, if mentored properly by Sam Cassell and develops a good shooting percentage like Grant Williams, could be the point guard of the future for the Cs. As far as Lillard goes, as much as it would be great to have him run point, I don't think that it would happen from a financial stand point. I also believe that the Cs would gut their roster just tobget him.
