Russell Westbrook Returns, KJ Martin Enters, & James Harden Joining?

The LA Clippers have re-signed Russell Westbrook to a 2 year, 7.8 million dollar deal. Having been a huge topic and priority for the Los Angeles Clippers off-season, the polarizing future first ballot Hall of Famer Westbrook will now resume his role as the teams’ Starting Point Guard. In addition, the Clippers traded 2 future 2nd round picks for Kenyon Martin Jr. ,who will add much needed youth and athleticism to the front court.

In this episode, die hard Clipper fan and Host Darian Vaziri reacts to Russell Westbrook being back on the team, the signing of K.J. Martin and what it means, and briefly discusses the possibility of a James Harden trade to the Clippers which apparently he is pushing for.

  1. Stoked to have Russ back!!
He bolsters so many deficiencies on the Clippers — passing, rebounding, pace & durability

  2. So happy Russ is back, hoping the hype with these off-season moves transfers to a positive start to the regular season (Kawhi and PG stating healthy with minimal load management).

  3. Clippers need James harden. It’s expiring contracts for expiring contract. Clippers have 99 % of winning it all with the BIG 4 .

  4. If you have to trade Mann, Boston, or Bones. No thanks. If it's Morris, Coffey, Preston, and throw in Roco or Nico. I guess get Harden. Idk about giving up Powell unless it was for another big if they don't sign Plumlee or cash so they can grab another free agent.

  5. Russ is back baby! I'm hyped!
I'm not really excited about the possibility of Harden. Maybe they have switched their focus on Lillard???

  6. Plumlee just resigned so I’m loving the moves so far just need to shop Morris now for a stretch big (possibly a Christian Wood or PJ Washington)… But PLEASE leave Harden where he’s at, we’re good as constructed minus Morris.

  7. I am happy Russ is back, especially for 3.8 mil, he's a good PG, fit's the system well. KMJ is a great pickup, only making 1.9 mil, we needed more youth at the 4. As for Harden no f'in way, ball dominant PG who play's absolutely no "D", with Russ back, we don't need him. I wouldn't want him even if we didn't sign Russ. Still more work to be done, need to get rid of Nico and Morris, and dump salary, still over the 2nd apron. Need a 4 and backup 5, I like Mo Bamba over Mason Plumlee, better defender, hopefully they can sign him, and keep away from the fakers.

  8. No market for a low iq, high turnover, inefficient point guard. Clippers were His only option. Let the celebration 🎉 begin!

  9. When the Clippers get Russell Westbrook for the first five games, they were a disaster on the hardwood! Then they find a way to get it all together. It was beautiful to watch them play together. They balled!

  10. Just found out Mason resigned for 5 mil, 1 year only, I'm OK with it. 19 players now on roster, something's up.

  11. As someone who’s a fan of basketball overall and not attached to any one team, I’ve tended to follow Westbrook where he’s gone and payed close attention to his teams the most. Having said that I’m happy he stayed with the clippers and I look forward to coming here throughout the ups and downs of the season! Also definitely gonna go to a clippers game and see him play again 🙂

  12. Honestly seeing tmann go somewhere else and ball might be needed, never really got the shine he deserved

  13. Terrence Mann is a key piece to have in a championship run, like his buddy Bruce Brown was for the Nuggets and look how valued he became when the league finally took notice, Clips can’t get seduced by the allure of the name and hype of a Harden and should just stick to surrounding the stars they have already with a complimentary supporting cast.

  14. The question was never about his talent, it was about if you can win with Russ, unfortunately that has yet to be true because he can only be effective one way

  15. We have everything we need to make a finals run. The most important component for the clippers is health and durability. Why do we need Harden? We’d be making one of the same mistakes that the nets did when they brought him in. They sacrificed all of their depth for a player with a bunch of baggage, and who was out of shape. Guys like Terrence Mann are not pouting on the bench when they don’t get enough shots. Harden will if he doesn’t get his way. I don’t understand how team after team can reward players that blatantly quit on their teams when things don’t go their way.

  16. I’ve been a pg fan for years.. the season pg was in mvp contention, Russ was a big part of that.

  17. I don’t know what kj can do defensively, but it can’t be worse than old man morris
