IIRC, dude had undiagnosed medical issues. Like athsma, maybe? Between that and being completely unable to handle the pressure of being a #1 pick, it just wasnât going to work out for him.
Maybe in another scenario, he gets drafted 5-7 where he was mocked and manages to adjust to the NBA and get his health under control. But he just wasnât that good when he faced starting-caliber competition.

Nah. When youâre the number 1 pick you get plenty of chances. Guy just wasnât good enough.
30 years old, hasnât been in the nba for like 7 years, currently in Taiwan and not particularly lighting things up over there? Give him another chance based on his rookie summer league from 10 years ago?
Yeah sure why not

Bennett got his guaranteed money from being the 1st overall pick and just said “screw it, I’m good”. Dude actually got waived by an Israeli league team

Heard he had asthma and Jr. Whopper hands. Clearly a shitty work ethic. That draft might be one of the worst ever. Thankfully we were able to package him up and get Love for him. Cleveland has almost gotten a pass because of the weak draft and them trading him for a Hofer.

Tweener(sf/pf) insufficient speed on the perimeter and size in the paint. His shot could theoretically get him an nba look, bigs with range get looks but it’s not very likely.

Nah, he’s gotta be lazy af or have some major mental lapse in his game.
He was the first overall pick and never even started a game for the Cavs. Played 4 seasons total in the NBA, all for a different team. No one brought him back for a second year. In total, he started 4 games in his career, 3 in his second year with the Timberwolves. 2 of those Minnesota starts were in his first month there, and then his last one came in February of that season, and immediately after he didn’t dress / was inactive for the rest of their games.
It’s not just the worst first overall pick in league history, it’s the worst pick period.

What happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas.
[This type of effort just won’t work on the professional level](https://cdn.bleacherreport.net/temp_images/2014/01/09/832477570.gif). There are plenty of players who get cut several times but keep getting chances because they work hard.
Another chance? Itâs been 10 years no
