This off season aināt worth shš®āļøāļøPatrick Williams still not gonna rebound, Demar wonāt play defense, Zach is fcking āDEPRESSEDā & Dalen Terry is š & Coby is gonna play when he #FeelsLikeIt, iām tired of these whoresāļø
I swear Jamal is on his grind. Get this man a job at NBC Sports Chi
So excited for the new season man!
great pick up by the bulls
I have a good feeling with the Bulls this offseason the Draft picks look impressive Torry Craig and Jevon Green will help with 3 point shooting and AK can still make more moves
First round exit instead of play In team! Great off season.
this teams starting to look pretty nice especially on the bench
I would say not to bad of am off-season but i still think we need 1 or 2 more true sharpshooters
We still have Demar and Lavine. I don't think these moves end up being as impactful as they could be. If we got rid of one of them for more floor spacing and playmaking, then I'd think we'd have a meaningful offseason. Mainly talking about Demar.
Completely agree. Best offseason in recent years. Mid value contracts to mid team.. but still.
feel the bulls are about to make a mini splash
when that disabled player request comes through
i expect they will go after a PF that can shoot and shot block
is it mo bamba who knows, maybe its grant williams minus the shot blocking lol
but the toughness is there
who ever it is
i think if its mo bamba the bulls are a 55 win team barring no major injurries
and likley top 5 nba defense if not number 1 or 2
in my opinion the bulls are a tittle contending team if you put the pieces around them and coach them well
we shall see lol
I can see us winning 48-50 games.. I think we upgraded our roster so far.
I think my biggest issue is that this solves our long term issues. Two of our three best players are still getting older by the year and we're not a contender. These two new signings are going to take minutes away from our young guys to see if they can actually play.
My biggest fear is we end up at this time next year in the exact same scenario where we're taking about bringing Demar back because we don't know what we've got in Terry. We didn't trade Demar so bringing him back makes the most sense because we still owe San Antonio a first round pick.
I agree that the deals are good and for good money that'll be movable if needed. My fear is that we end up having to rebuild anyway, but miss out on draft capital because we waited extra years so your tradable pieces are now all just older
It's been underwhelming to say the least.
Patrick Williams is not a power forward.. he is a big small forward wing that can guard the 4. Like Lavine is a small forward that can guard the 2 & DeRozan is a Shooting guard that can play the point, guard or forward. Also, i think Drummond is a power forward for his natural position. Ever since 'small ball' & 'positionless' play, skill set evaluation & management have been subpar, shortening careers & limiting winning by attempting to mirror winning teams prototype from most recent previous seasons. The Bulls has had the problem with this since '99. If Jordan were playing today they'd make him a point guard or small forward. Completely out of position instead of revolutionizing the 2. Although, Scottie would've made a damn good point guard his entire career… But everybody versatility does not translate to effectiveness, particularly today when poor coaching gets more chances than proven coaching because they can't tell somebody making 250M to follow a plan so briskly.. the logorhythm is defunct.
Extremely solid offseason. I know they didnt add the big names fans wanted but they added pieces that make sense and the team better
Stop hyping this trash team. Expectations are still very low.
A front office that doesn't want to admit defeat is not a good strategy for building a winning franchise. I'm guessing most Bulls fans are not just looking for the team to make the playoffs. They want a team that consistently reaches the playoffs as they climb the ladder to a championship. So knowing many of the Bulls losses last year happened because a lack of effort, a lack of energy, a lack of fire. Let's just say they lack the CHARACTER to be a consistent winner. This offseason doesn't change that. Period.
If you close your eyes and pretend, like the front office just did, that the last 3:45 seconds of the Heat play-in game didn't happen, and it was the Bulls who went on tear across the Eastern conference, you would make these tweaks to the roster, not blow it up like public has been trying to get them to. I personally think it's more fun to see Lavine, Demar and Vucevic run it's course than watch this team rebuild.
How are they looking better? Half the signings will be on the bench with little game time and no big name signings. Ä° guarantee Another up and down season finishinf below 8
I feel we can seriously try our best to compete this season , if Zach and Demar do what they did last seaon and then others chip in during key moments which couldnt happen last season then we can do well
iāve spoken ab it b4, n ima speak ab it again; so many fans underestimate AK, but I have reasons why you shouldnāt (these reasons are the ones i am primarily aware of)..
he drafted jokic; you could chalk that up to a lucky pick, and honestly iāve thought the same, but my second reason (i feel so tho) shows that his intellect goes beyond just luck..
he truly did build a contending roster. with lonzo, lavine, caruso, derozan, and the other smaller pieces that fit well w this roster (ayo, he was flourishing when everything went well (its easy to speak down on him now when his performances are weaker, but when the teams morale was up they were all up)). at the start, we had all of our pieces, billy donovan was doing a great job coaching, everything seemed fantastic.
although, injuries did plague us (caruso affected us, p will, and lonzos was the absolute worst (coming completely out of left field)). we were dealt a very shitty hand, that truly nobody has dealt with (at least within this context). although we sucked ass for awhile (which honestly is nearly impossible to avoid, for any franchise or just w/in pplās own lives (generally speaking)), i do believe in the GM to either turn this ship around, or put us in a better path (at least a path at which weāre better off on).
thatās j what i think
The question is are we better now then we were? On paper it would seem so, but I'm still really nervous about the PG position. Imo Carter isn't a NBA starter at the point. Tyus Jones will become available from the Wizards and we need to get him
I don't care what anyone says about Vooch man. He never misses a game and is a double double machine! He's a very solid player and I don't think it was a overpay considering what he brings. I just like the fact that he actually PLAYS EVERY GAME!! š
Julian Phillips, Jevon Carter, and Torrey Craig are good replacement players for Javonte Green, Derrick Jones Jr., and possibly Ayo Dosunmu. Although Craig is more likely to start if P. Will struggles @ PF.
This team will be better than people are expecting.
I know everyone is saying to blow it up, but what the Bulls are going to get back from trades are not going to be good. It's easier said than done.
Dam day off lmao fuck the people who work at restaurants I guess
We will still be a play in team
I kind of hope coby gets more responsibility as point guard. Only time will tell if the carter and craig trade shift the 3pt attempt and makes
I like the Vuc signing. For a player his caliber its honestly a team friendly deal. There are way worse players making $20 mil plus. Dillon Brooks is making $20 mil and hes hot garbage.
Not bad but I think whatās missing is a power forward that can defend and then itās s solid squad
š Beasley only signed for only 2.7M….Lonnie Walker 6.5M….You needed to upgrade your shooting with cap restraints that was it without spending big money. That was the same payment for the other 2 š¤¦….Which looks more enticing Beasley and Walker or Carter and Craig…..We were last in 3pt shooting
I'm happy so far, and excited to see what they intend to do with that disabled player exception
Probably still need another big unless Sanogo is able to grab a regular roster spot instead of a 2way deal. Solid moves so far especially if Craig is a vet min deal. No way to tell right now where the Bulls stand in the East until we know what happens with Harden and Dame.
Coby White will start watch idc what anybody says he put in so much work heās going to take off this season and if they donāt start him than he need to request a trade cuz if Javon comes right in and start when everyone has to earn that shit then thatās fucked imo Coby white is better than carter bigger and taller and longer Iām not big on carter starting if that was the case why didnāt he start backcourt with holiday if heās such a great player not even a point imo he doesnāt get the team involved white is a better playmaker than carter as well
Agreed. With the Bulls winning only 40 last season I will guess the o/u total will be around 42.5? Easy over for a hundy
I still dont agree or understand how so many believe the bulls are so far away from contention. If we look at the last 2 years. they have shows many flashes of being elite at times. just not consistently. I believe were only a few pieces + mindset change away from being in contention. By the end of the season we were one of the best defenses in the league + we beat so many elite teams during the year. that does not happen if you dont already have some really great talent. I still believe this core can do something special. I still think getting rid of BD would be the biggest boost to this roster but im hoping some of these grinders we added will do the trick.
Bulls are secretly putting together a trade package that will include one or two of our youngest players and Derozan. I expect this to happen before the trade deadline for either a stretch Center or a starting caliber PG. This team that is currently constructed will be the odd man out come playoff time. We can hope and dream all we want but this roster isnāt winning anything. We have added some defensive but Carter isnāt a starting caliber PG. What OKME is trying to figure out is if the formula they had prior to Ballās injury woks but we have a problem that still hadnāt been addressedā¦ Who is going to slow down and defend Giannis, Embiid and now Unicorn (Celtics) come playoff time? That is why we desperately need a rim protector.
I am from Ireland, no day off but Happy 4th of July, Jamaal!
This is a product of what Vuc talked about with management when they were discussing money and his role
This off season has been a disaster. Bulls are going to stay mid but still sell tickets. Just delaying the inevitable rebuild another yearā¦. SAD!
Yeah, Vucevic was one of our best players this season, we just need to fill the roster covering and addressing his weaknesses.
Thank you for the positivity
